So, is Ocular Max a subline of MMC, spin off of MMC, their own company? I've seen their take on cassettes, but this is the first time I've seen this guy. And now it looks like MMC Mirage is listed under Ocular Max at BBTS... (And my apologies if there is already a thread. I looked for an existing one but didn't find it.)

This take on G1 Inferno is up for preorder at BBTS, with a release date of April. There is also an early bird price of $99.99 ($129.99 retail.)

It looks good. I'm not committed to Inferno enough to buy it, but it looks good.

Seems like a simple enough transformation to not need $130 worth of engineering; certainly looks simpler than the Hades 'bots, who are also combiners. The skeptic in me wonders if that's what the die-cast parts are for (i.e. justifying the price). I don't know; I don't know enough about the design to say that outright.

Ag, first off thank you for posting this information. It looks like no one else was able to do so prior to your post.

From my best understanding, Ocular Max is a subline of MMC which focuses on the Studio Ox design (more anime-like) of Transformers figures. These figures stand-in well with Masterpiece figures (hence the sub-title "Perfection Series").

Another thing is that there is a pre-order bonus of an additional cartoon accurate face for Backdraft. This guy looks great to me, and will be the first third-party Inferno I buy (maybe even the only one).

And here's Vangelus talking about the figure that was sent to him, enjoy:
