The Energon Pub

Hi all. There was a preorder put up by some of the main retailers on this, but I'm not exactly sure how to classify it. (I don't read much of the current comics.) It appears to have a similar weapon to the old Classics prime with the wind deflector folding into a gun. But, otherwise it is very strange looking to me. There are no size details at BBTS, but given the price point, I'm thinking small voyager/large deluxe, maybe? Could it be around the same size as Classics Voyager Prime? At any rate, here's the preorder info/link to BBTS and some pics.

Yeah, I saw this a while ago. I like the robot mode okay; I do not like the vehicle mode. I neither want nor need another standard (i.e. non-Powermaster) Prime, so I'm going to pass.

I'm not sure that this is supposed to be the IDW version; when MT did Tailgate, they called it their "Manga Mech Series," while this is labeled "Cross Dimension." On that note, however, I'd love to see more IDW-style characters. If someone's going to make more of those figures, though, I wish they'd do guys that haven't yet been seen in any form lately, like Rodimus.

From the info I've picked up on the web this is CHUG scale. Had I not just picked up DOTM Voyager Prime I'd be all over this, but as is...I'm still all over this, I just have a much harder time justifying it.

I do love the design though and I'd love to see their take on Megatron.
