Well, it's also a different Trypticon. We haven't seen pics from Has/Tak yet, but I imagine that one will be more in line with G1. (Unless, has Trypticon appeared in the comics recently?) At any rate, this is definitely based on the WfC video game.

Definitely WfC design from Planet X, which I'm sure will be vastly different than whatever HasTak provides. Last we've seen Trypticon in comics was a few years ago as a dormant volcano monster. I keep thinking it's the Maximum Dinobots mini-series because I seem to remember the Dinobots (Dynobots[?!?!]) being part of the story.
The teaser pics didn't quite do it for me, and I'm thinking because we don't get to see as much detail from a mostly black figure. Perhaps unpainted prototypes will get my attention, but I'm certainly not ruling out purchasing this guy just yet. Very glad that PX was able to figure out the logistics of prepping another huge figure to market.
