I was trolling some third party sites when I stumbled on a post labeled today's date, and Voilà!! New Bold Forms Dark Emperor Pics! This time we got something new! Apparently the armor will be snap on and interchangeable!! WHHHHAAAAAAAAA!!!! Just how much awesomness are they going to pack into this Triple Changer Future Megatron Transformer!! (I prefer to think of him is alternate universe G-1 (2005) universe Megatron! where the G-1 universe takes place in this century).

No worry about the face buddy. We can provide costume made face plate for you! Also the figure has the inner frame onto which you can attach many of the interchangeable armor parts to display with. The first release version of the figure will include one random color armor set for free.

So I love this guy, outside of my Masterpiece G-1 Transformers collection, this figure, and maybe a few coming out if done on this level will be receiving some shelf space, if only because to me this Gladius Dark Emperor is amazing! It is to me, a 2005 Updated Transformers g-1 Megs, and to top it off, I plan to get him soon! Preorder on BBTS says July, I think it's probably been delayed..?

But for my Optimus Prime, I plan to go with the Gcreations version, which is amazing! I love it's IDW Optimus Prime aesthetic, it looks like a perfect Bot for my personal fantasy of what G-1 would look like if the Autobots got revived in 2005 rather then the 1984-85 era.



They are perfect together! And they are both MP-10 scale!!

I think he looks pretty awesome, and that Walther PK380 (or similar) gun mode is RIDICULOUS! I hope it's based of the PK380, an evolution of the P38!


And modular parts/armor?! Customizable orders from them directly?! Including a kit where you assemble it yourself?! What?!

He does say in a post that the transformation is complicated in areas, and they are testing out the tabs for the tank mode to make sure everything fits properly.

Paint me excited!

Nice to converse again itscramtastic! I love these Thrid party discussions, so exciting! I am not sure what the gun is based off of, I think it's a stylized Semi-automatic pistol.. It looks amazing tho! reminds me of the newer rifles the military carries.. which are sleek and look allot like the alt mode in terms of style to the Bold Forms Gladius..

abut yea, I mean, it has tons of accessories and options. this could be the best Triple changer Megatron I have ever seen!! It is styled somewhat tho to me, on the All Hail Megatron aesthetic of the comic, yet has the ingenuity of a Triple changing badass!! color me excited too!!

fantastic! a double barrel of doom! yep, Tank mode looks pretty good. reminds me of classic mecha tanks seen in anime.

Okay, this looks like a very nice offering. I am tempted...

skywarp-2: I am HOPING they used the Walther PK380 as the design inspiration for the gun mode. That's why I posted the pic of it from Walther's website so you could see the similarity. Lots of tiny details you can compare and see on Dark Emperor!!

robotmel: Thanks for the pic updates!! Like skywarp-2, I'm digging the tank mode. It seems feasible as either a G1 Cybertronian tank or a Cybertronian tank in "Earth mode". To me at least.

This LOOKS good, but after the last release Bold Forms brought out (their travesty of a Motormaster) I'm not convinced.

As per the designer via his FB, his 1st alt mode is that of a Walther P99.

Indeed it his primary alt mode is a Walther P99, which is per the design of E.J. Su for the 2005-era "-iation"-series.

Loving how this is ever so slowly coming together. From pictures at least it seems like a marked improvement over their first effort. Let's hope the actual product is better also when it comes out.

Funk yeah he's pretty awesome looking!! I wouldn't mind having a Megatron that did both as well as this guy.
