Yup, you're correct -- this be G1 Bumblebee with his Cybertronian alt-mode from the very first cartoon episode. And, naturally, a Goldbug version ;)^

Not entirely sure how I feel about it. Concept is lovely and cool, but the execution... hm. I'll have to wait on reviews to see.

This is something I've wanted since the Titanium line, but those prototypes look a little sketchy (and that "gold" is way too brownish for my liking). I'm going to wait to see a finished one before I dive in.

Something that turns me off specifically is the different colour used for the thigh parts that also become the front part of the alt-mode. And it's specifically the only two parts in that colour! It's a design decision that baffles me personally.

Still, I'm very impressed that they were able to hide the legs away that much in alt-mode. Leg magic :-?

So! There's two convention exclusive redecoes. The first is 'Volk', a white redeco based on the obscure Brazilian Volks and exclusive to TFCon; and 'Rune', a blue redeco based on Glyph and exclusive to the upcoming TFNation.

If I manage to make it to TFNation I might have to get Glyph. That mold suits her really well.

Yeah, I was completely mistaken. Forgot that Bumblebee had a War Within design. Between this and that Megatron by another third party War Within designs seem to be making a resurgence -- one day I've gotta ask why people liked that comic so much.

Still, hey, it easily works as the G1 cartoon vehicle mode :)

They were cool designs to be fair. I mean, if I were in the market for an MP Megatron I'd be torn between Despotron and that WW Megatron from Spark Toys.
