Posted: Fri Feb 02, 2018 2:13 pmThe robot mode is beautiful. That sensor thing on the car hood blows monkey balls. Even if it comes off, you get stuck with an ugly hole or some kind of asymmetrical fail.
On a side note, with the exception of Bumblebee, Takara is going to stay clear of the rest of the 1984 minibots. Too much debate over scale and whether to go with penny racer style vehicles or the vehicles people assume they are based on. I always thought Cliffjumper was something similar to a suped up Toyota or a Pontiac Fiero. I never felt he was a Porsche like dead end or Jazz which resembled the only 2 iconic Porsche designs of the 80s.

Posted: Sat Feb 03, 2018 3:43 pmHard to say if I'd personally place this in an MP collection; might have to see it next to some others (in both modes) first. It seems a bit skinny to be Cliffjumper. However, the fast that they got a passenger compartment in that is pretty sweet, and might be enough to warrant a purchase from me.

Being a little beefier in the arms would be better, although I'm fully aware that space limitations are almost certainly a factor, especially with the aforementioned passenger compartment (which 'Bee doesn't even have).
