General 3P Combiners Questions

Greetings All,

I've never purchased any 3P product, but I admit many of them look amazing. I have a real desire to complete my combiner collection, especially since with the "Siege" reveals there looks to be nothing in that regards for 2019 (I know they could come back later but...)

As of now we don't have a modern Hasbro Piranacon, Monstructor (or Dinoking). We also don't have modern updates of:

Raiden, Landcross, and Road Caesar.

The first 3 I know 3P companies have developed. I just wonder if they are worth purchasing, or should I wait another year for Hasbro to reveal their 2020 Generations line?...Also I don't believe any 3P has done any rendition of the 2nd trio I listed (though If I am wrong , please let me know).

Additionally, I know there was one 3P company that released a version of Motormaster that was compatible with the Hasbro/TT developed combiner system for CW/PotP. Is anyone aware of any other 3P product (Voyager or Deluxe scaling) that is also compatible with this system? Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you so much.

Well, Road Caesar has been done by TFC (Trinity Force). Check out the thread here:

I don't think the other two have been done.

Toyworld is showing off prototypes of a couple of CW compatible torso's: Motormaster and Onslaught.

The thing about dipping in to 3P combiners (or 3P in general) is that there's a huge variety of scale's and aesthetic choices. So you gotta do your research. Not to mention quality and complexity. Personally, I find TFC to be the best at blending in with the official fellas.

Thanks for the update. Wow that Rad Caesar looks amazing, and yes I'm trying to do research, which is tough sometimes, what with so many 3P companies out there now. I am interested in FP Surus Ryu Oh and Beastructor (Dino King and Monstructor), as well as TFC Toys Poseidon. Trying to find good comparison videos or pics with CW/UW/PotP combiners

Tread lightly with those TFC figures; you're paying a lot for a very complex 'bot. The first transformation is usually an exercise in frustration. So far, I'm still very much on the fence regarding the not-Road Caesar set and its adherence to the Brainmaster gimmick; still can't get my Wildhunter (not-Blacker) to fit together correctly in the torso area.

I can't speak for their Road Ceasar, but I've found TFC's to be the least painful 3P figures out there. I've got their Devs and King, and they're not overdone. Maketoys Computron and Fansproject Menasor however, those are unbelievable nightmares #-o
