Upgrades/Add-ons you'd like to see made

There's plenty of cool upgrades and add-ons out there. But there are still plenty of itches left in need of further scratching or even unscratched altogether. Also a few repros that would be good. So, what would you like to see added to the table?

I've got plenty of ideas myself:
* Repro Cyber Keys
* Repro forearms for the Leobreaker mold
* Replacement upper arms with bicep swivels for Cybertron Vector Prime
* Replacement lower legs for the Leobreaker mold that 1. Actually collapse somehow, thus bringing Savage Claw Mode to its proper proportions 2. Have the heel struts be actual working fingers instead of fused finger-ish pieces and 3. Include the thumbs that were supposed to be mounted in those 5mm holes on the sides of his knees.
* Purple energy sword for Cybertron Galvatron
* Replacement legs for Movie 1 Leader-class Megatron that actually form the aft of his jet mode (would require removing the battery box to install)
* Replacement arms for Movie 1 Leader Megs that better integrate the pods and include a more accurate rendition of the movie 1 fusion cannon
* Replacement heads for the Animated Bumblebee mold to give the redeco characters their correct heads
* Animated Optimus' fire engine shell
* Lio Convoy-based weapons for Universe Leo Prime
* Head for ROTF Leader-class Optimus Prime with retractable mouthplate
* Collapsible swords for ROTF Leader Optimus so that they can preserve the flip-out sword gimmick while getting less in the way when retracted.
* Matrix of Leadership for ROTF Leader Optimus
* New Jetwing armor for ROTF/DOTM Leader Optimus where the wings can straighten out and flatten to integrate with the sides of a trailer.
* New transforming trailer for ROTF/DOTM Leader Optimus that's 53' long in scale (matching the movie one) and can ideally integrate with aforementioned Jetwing armor. Also ideally has transforming shields.
* DOTM-ROTF Conversion kit for ROTF Leader Optimus including a stomach flap base designed for easy swapping
* New replacement right arm for ROTF Leader Megatron with retractable fingers of some sort and a Death-Lock Pincer that actually converts back into the tank mode turret shield. Also includes foldaway targeting sensors that mount to the back piece where the battery box is
* Flight-mode fins for ROTF Leader Megs
* Foldaway axe blades that attach to the perpendicular handle atop ROTF Jefire's cane.
** Alternatively, a replacement cane with the axe blades already built into it.
* Collapsible Ironhide cannons of various sizes and sorts. Including a collapsible movie-accurate left-hand cannon for DOTM Leader Ironhide
* A bracket with a 5mm peg on the bottom, to let Combiner Wars HFGs mount in altmode with the back of the hand (and thus all the juicy sculpted detail) facing up. This is an issue for all ground-based limbs except the Brawl and Drag Strip molds.
* Individualized upgrade feet for the Combiner Wars-style combiners that actually match the feet of the G1 toy instead of being a generic design based mainly on Superion's that looks more like a Bionicle Rahkshi foot than anything else. Same for hands
* Trailer for CW Optimus that includes Titan/Prime Master-compatible versions of Roller, the workstations, and the turret
* Trailer for CW Motormaster that turns into his G1 base mode
* G1-based guns for CHUG figures (including Prime Wars and WFC trilogy) that lack them.
* New feet for Titans Return Fortress Maximus that act as docks for Siege Gasket and Grommet
* Extension for TR Fort Max central ramp that includes the elevator platform
* Tower extensions for TR Fort Max that free up Cerebros and include an actual cockpit for "Emissary". Also act as abdominal cannon storage in robot mode
* Some sort of clip or replacement panel that allows Cerebros to attach to TR For Max in communications room mode
* End ramps for TR Fort Max's arm decks that can link to TR Leader figures' base modes, and accompanying launchers for the other ends of the decks
* G1-based rifle and smaller handheld gun for TR Fort Max
* Overlay add-ons for TR Bumblebee to make his altmode better resemble a classic VW Beetle
* Goldbug version of the above that also has Goldbug head
* Cliffjumper head and Porschefication overlay pieces for the TR Bumblebee mold
* Chase and Searchlight heads for TR Bumblebee mold, accompanying overlay pieces to distinguish it in altmode
* Clone of Diac/Murk to be used as replacement Titan Master or as spare crew
* "Icy" and "Random" Titan Masters for Blitzwing for laughs. Provide bonus value as extra crew. Possibly with ittybitty clip-on guns that they can hold as they ride his tank mode.
* A version of the Shockwave's Lab Overlord kit for people who bought Hasbro Overlord (in other words, includes recreations of Giga and Mega)
* New chest shield for TR Powermaster Optimus Prime (and derivatives) that resembles the G1 toy's chest with Hi-Q attached like Legends Super Ginrai's does, but with a removable engine block akin to the Power of the Primes Enigmas and Matrix cores.
* Opening Matrix of Leadership designed to fit in the PotP Leader figures' matrix slots
* Sword for Volcanicus that's in line with the G1 Dinobots' swords aesthetically instead of pandering to Earth Wars' laziness
* Similarly G1-styled original gun and missile launcher for Volcanicus, one or the other possibly able to double as a battering ram
* G1 weapons pack for PotP Dinobots
* Alternate weapon/weapon tips for PotP Decoy Armors
* Decoy Armors for Onyx Prime and the Prime Masters who got relegated to being exclusives.
* Replacement Prime Master figures for the Quintus and Megatronus cores that actually look like Bludgeon and Bomb-Burst respectively
* Secondary trailer for PotP Rodimus Prime that's towed behind his main one and turns into his battle station
* G1-based trailer for Siege Ultra Magnus

How about the rest of you?

Breasts for UW Megatronia (voyager figure) so it is like the comic art (suds effect optional...)
power master titan masters for dark and dreadwing

I agree with the idea of Titan/Prime Master versions of Hi-Test and Throttle, had the same thought. I'd just mentally categorized those as full separate figures and put them in the "What figures would you like to see made" thread ^^;

A great list, Zelda. One thing for me?

An upgrade kit for POTP Elita One. At least some good weapons!

At this point I reckon Leobreaker would need a whole new figure, which to be fair I'd be down for as a decent Leobreaker with a Savage/Dark Claw mode that doesn't suck would rock.

Other stuff I want:
>FP or someone else to do an upgrade set for Energon Constructicon Maximus, with two new limb molds and a bunch of weapons that work as combiner kibble. Not to make them into a G1 Devastator mind you, just an original design to "complete the set" and make him into a decent combiner.
>A different set of weapons for Megatronia with a similar colour scheme but a more EEEEEEVIL looking sculpt. Also maybe a gun for her that splits apart into weapons for the individuals.
>Combiner hands and feet that aren't all just redecos of each other and actually do something interesting. So for example, a pair of motorcycle drones that become "rollerskate" feet for Menasor.

Plastic wheels for MP Ultra Magnus. I hate rubber tyres and all I see is a future disappointment when they dry out and crack off...

I wouldn't be overly worried. If they're made right they can last a long time. Most of my G1s that would have come with them still have their rubber tires and said tires are in great shape! There are toys from the fifties that still have their rubber tires in great condition. Now, I don't think plastic wheels are horrible, but rubber tires do roll better and are more consistently good rollers. Why not a reliable supply of spares?

I'm not worried about my G1 toys (the rubber generally seems to hold up well on those) - anything from Car Robots onwards seems to degrade. Including reissues. This makes me worry every time I look at Magnus, Sideswipe ect...

Plus plastic wheels just look more "anime", too.

It's funny, my BW Rampage has rubber treads in immaculate condition despite being 20 years old, whilst my DOTM Shockwvae's hose is showing signs of stress. And whilst I never had any problems with the actual integrity of the tires (mine just used to pop off all the time) I know the CR/RID figures suffered from rubber decay a lot.

My RiD toys' tires are all fine still. As are those on my Encore Ratchet.

More ideas:
* Replacement rear tires for ROTF Leader Optimus that either collapse like the ones on the prototype would have or do the fancy split-and-fold stuff
* Clones of the HFTD hooks. Or maybe modified clones of the spring-loaded mounts with pegholes to let them swap between hooks and swords
* Replacement axe for Battle Blade Bumblebee that can rotate to face the right way

Fake car doors back clip ons for POTP robotmodes Jazz, Ricochet and a G2 version to go with the G2 Toyhax labels set.

In the similar vein as Fansproject’s Explorer and Munitioner, a third party Leozack and Jallguar for a perfect CW Liokaiser, complete with his signature electromagnetic nunchaku.

YES. I second that. If they were essentially two Deluxes that scaled with the other limbs and combined into the top and bottom of the torso, that'd be the BOMB.

I would classify that more as full-on figures that add to a set. :P But yes, they would be good.

Speaking of which, I wouldn't mind TDW doing their Dinobot hands and feet in colours that go with CW Liokaiser. He looks like he'd be cool with claws.

Right now I would like elbows for the micromasters in siege. And elbows and knees for the battlemasters. That would be stellar.

Here's a thought: "Sandal" plates that attach to the undersides of combined PotP feet via the thumb holes on the hand Prime Armor. Maybe then people will turn them the right way 'round

Here are some more thoughts based on eBay searches and my modding work and tangents thereof
* Cartoon-accurate robot chest/gorilla head rig for Ultra-class Optimus Primal. Would be extra-attractive because of the number of Primals outright missing their chestplates and thus their beast mode noggins. Would ideally come in two versions: Regular with just the chestplate/gorilla head (and perhaps a show-accurate robot head), and Deluxe with the gorilla and robot heads plus repro accessories and a pair of cannons for the right arm.
* Replacement left arm for Beast Wars Ultra-class Megs with either a show-accurate gauntlet hand or plan-accurate claw hand, and either a handle rig to let the hand hold his tail or a new, separate tail if this is unfeasible.
* Replacement chest/hood for TR Hot Rod that has a flip-away engine block like the Legends toy but with slots for his stock guns as well as a 5mm port, and that has a bumper tuck like the TR version but it leaves most of the hood there instead of taking a big trapezoidal chunk with it.

Not a bad idea, though they'd still have no forwards/backwards tilt which kinda sucks. But still, interesting.

Some other upgrades I'd like:
>A Siege Shockwave upgrade that gives him even more bits of armour and weapons and can turn him into a purple modular Neue Ziel.
>Improved KOs of the DOTM MechTech weapons that can lock in either mode (I normally don't go for KOs but given that the MechTech weapons are like 8 years old now, I think I could get behind it).
>"Fillers" for TR seat guns to replace the hollows with tech/ammo detail.
>Replacement rotors for 2007 Incinerator that have hinges allowing for them to become big ol' rotor claws.

I'd also like to see actually affordable, decent CW/POTP hands and feet (mainly feet) with the priority on being good extremities, but that come with accessories to turn them into "gun emplacements" when not combined. In addition to dedicated ones for the existing combiners I wouldn't mind original/"generic" designs for custom combiners in different colours.

I'm not sure how it could be engineered but I'd like a deluxe-ish Optimus Primal who can turn into a gorilla (probably with some partsforming I imagine) so that the figure that come with POTP Optimal Optimus can use his beast mode as well.

Mind you that could end up requiring a completely new Primal figure to attach to the POTP Optimal Optimus so its probably not worth it. >:oP

Hmm. I know someone makes a gorillafication kit for the smaller Optimus Primal.

Here's something that I thought up after acquiring Godbomber: An upgrade kit including:
* A new God Cannon that changes up the hilt storage to make room for a working missile launcher
** Said God Cannon would ideally also have a ratcheted mounting bracket. Possibly with a deeper base to mount better in trailer mode
* Assemblies that go between the wings and their existing mounts to let the wings detach and be remounted in a better-looking position for God Ginrai
** Two obvious possibilities here: Either swinging bars on the wings that make use of the pegholes in the shoulder straps, or pegs on the wings that go into the pelvis pegholes on Godbomber's chest halves
* Extension sockets for the pegholes on the sides of Godbomber's legs, so that the turret guns from Ginrai don't get fouled by Ginrai's tires when turning.

Here's some SIEGE ones:
* A transforming rotor sword for Springer.
* Duplicates of Sideswipe's launcher and missile
* Duplicate of Red Alert's gun

And non-SIEGE:
* Replacement arm sections for Titans Return Kup
* I reiterate: A switchable-faceplate head for RotF Leader Optimus.

Every time a thread like this pops up, I say it: I would love a kit for the BotCon 2011 TFA Stunticons that allows them to connect and form Menasor, which can also be transformed into a trailer for Motormaster. Is that so much to ask? The engineering is advanced enough for this, isn't it? I would think the kit would include a Menasor head, instructions to transform each limb a certain way, as well as Motormaster for the torso, and be able to connect to a larger piece (which can be a solid piece or one with moving parts) and make a Menasor, even if he has limited mobility and poseability.

If this were ever produced, I would buy 2 and use the 2nd one with Voyager Prime, Sideswipe/Rodimus, Arcee, Jazz, and Lockdown. Or if the limb connectors are interchangeable, skip Lockdown and use Rodimus and Sideswipe as the legs, and Arcee and Jazz as the arms.

Without a doubt the add-on set I want the most are inserts to fill out the hollow undersides of Studio Series 44 Prime's jetwing engines and guns. My second most wanted add-on is a traditional hat for Heinlad that doubles as a shield, to make him more like the classic image of a tanuki.

Well, your wish for a filler set for SS44 has been granted!

Here's something I forgot: A clip for Overlord so that the Megajet can hold the Gigatank properly.

Another idea: Adapters for connecting Tidal Wave/Leobreaker plugs to CW arm-sockets, and adapters that let CW pegs connect to sockets designed for Tidal Wave/Leobreaker plugs.

And I reiterate that I want a leg upgrade kit for Leobreaker! Like, seriously, would it kill the third parties to give the Unicron Trilogy some more love already?! :-x
This thing especially - there's five different color schemes they could release such a kit in to make more money with!
