First, I just can't recommend this set enough. The quality is insanely high and it's dirt cheap.
Just look up 12" Devastator on eBay.
A word of warning though. Me and my friend both ordered and received ours, but there was 2 obligatory mods to do for both of them so it may be a defect for all of them.

--Bonecrusher's legs have their slider pegs inside of his legs too big, preventing transformation. Those legs needs to be disassembled and you must file down those sliders pegs to size. Do not file down too much!

--Longhaul's robot head is set WAY too deep inside the cavity in vehicle mode. You must use plyers to unstuck the head panel from there. You will most likely pop off the head from the balljoint in doing so. You then grab the balljoint with the plyers and pull. Normally, the panel will be unstuck and you should be able to pop the head back in. When transforming, just push the head back into the chest cavity as normal until you feel it resting where it should. Do not push it back too hard!

----------------

One thing my friend hate about CW Devastator is the fact that Mixmaster's vehicle mode is a reverse mixer. It look wrong in vehicle mode, and it especially look wrong in combined mode. I agree that it's daff.

Well, hop to Shapeway we go!

The part was very, VERY expensive for us Canadians. Add fees and shipping, and the price was almost the same as the WHOLE combiner! It also took a very long time to arrive.

Once I received the parts I noticed that those are only good for the combined mode. The part doesn't stay in place very well, meaning it just rest under the foot. Pretty lame.
At least the part is thick and solid.

Another thing that was damn hard to do is to find the right paint to have the perfect color match. I found the PERFECT "Devastator green" for it: Premier Key Lime Green. For the windows, I settled with metallic purple. Finally for the grill, Tamiya flat silver XF-16.

Before painting, I had to mod the parts so that they can make a decent vehicle mode. I thought about adding hinges and whatnots, but there's no space inside for anything. So I settled for PARTSFORMING. I modded the Mixmasters so that the shape of the vehicle match the part. Then I drilled holes in the vehicles so that the screws added to the parts act like pegs. (Vehicles and parts identified because the pegs and screws placement were free-handed.) I also painted the "real" windows of the vehicle in that "Devastator green" to hide them.

To match the rest of the toy as close as possible, I painted the parts in a simple way. Masking tape and spray. Only the grill was painted with a brush. The tiny triangle window was impossible to paint without making a mess so I skipped it. The color matching for the green is PERFECT. I was so lucky to have fount that paint!

The vehicles are not perfect, but they look way better. The connection is not the most secure, but it's solid enough.

To transform into either bot or Devy leg, simply slide the part up while holding the rear of the vehicle in place with a finger. If done correctly, it's as if there is NO partsforming at all! The part hold in place very securely thanks to the side-pins.

Image

To accommodate the part, the "box" of Mixmaster's head had to be grinded to size.

Image

With the part, Mixmaster's arms have their movements limited, but it's good enough.

Finally, the combined mode. And as expected, it's absolutely FANTASTIC!

At last, my Devastator is back in it's proper place and he fit perfectly with the regular CW figures. My friend will get his soon enough and he'll be happy for sure!

Overall, the Shapeway "shoe" is worth getting.... if you can mod the shizz out of it and your Mixmaster.
