Agreed. Actual gold is a very soft malleable metal. It made my interest in that set drop because as a display piece gold tarnishes and can be easily damaged by light contact with other things. KOLD stuff is generally fine because it's just chrome, and the worst it'll do is scratch, gold can dent or be bent easily.

I wonder if people think before posting hate filled crazydevy posts. Dumb question I know.

They'll be gold plated instead of having gold stickers. It's not like the whole wing is going to made of gold. These are collectible pieces, not children's toys that are going to see a lot of wear and tear.

My main question is will BBTS honor the original price we got preordering from them. It looks like crazydevy jacked the prices up on their site. My preorders are still showing up at $48.99

BBTS will honor the price. They'll jack it up for new orders. If they have to, they'll contact the customers and tell them that the pricing is out of their hands and the price has to go up, if it comes to that.

This is why I'm disgusted with Crazy Devy. They're slimy, corruptible money grubbers who work on people's weaknesses. I'm somewhat angered by my fellow fandomites because they know they're not supposed to give into Crazy Devy's crap tactics, yet they do, which is why Crazy Devy keeps jacking their prices and coming up with ridiculous ideas.

Well ... at a certain point we collectors have to take responsibility for our purchases.

If people wanna spend $50 - $60 on wings, then I don't see much problem with that. Personally I think it's a bit too much, but then there's other things I wouldn't touch either.

What I do tend to resent (and maybe what you're talking about) is their piecemeal upgrades. At first it seemed like they were just putting all funds from one upgrade to the next, but it kinda feels like we're being jerked around. If collectors expect full upgrades for Predaking, Superion, or whoever "Master Commander" is, then it's foolish. It's kina like crack when it came to the Devestator upgrade, with steadily increasing prices. Sure, I do like the end result I got, but I don't like the accumulated price. What's worse is that I don't even really know if they're through.

But, with all their other sets, their strategy with Devestator has already shown how they do business. People are now going in with their eyes wide open. Me, I'm not up for another "what will they do next?" adventure.

I also tend to hate their vague as Hell advertisements. But that's not really the topic here.

The message in the subject was left again two days ago but with the same picture as before saying the item has been sold out and today that picture has been updated with yet another teaser image.
