Just finished my own review on this set using the Energon Bruticus Maximus. hopfully it'll add a few more options to what's already been shown

Thanks. You did a pretty good review, yourself. I do agree, the Energon set is a little more G1-accurate in colors.
ROTF Onslaught's legs should have been painted with
Energon Barricade's leg colors.
I'd say the Energon set with ROTF's Vortex would be the most accurate. I'm still not impressed with ROTF's Brawl. The muted colors do fit in with camo better, but the color scheme still isn't "right". Energon Kickback's a bit brighter than camo is, but it's a nice, solid green and isn't problematic.
Vortex is G1, through and through, but he's hard to get a hold of now, and Energon Blackout's purple isn't so prevalent that it's off the wall and draws your attention away from the rest of the set.
In a perfect world, we would've received the set in G1 colors and that's that. Ah well, it's a damn nice set, as is.
