Great News Rodimus fans! Fansproject has posted the long awaited pictures of their Protector armor upgrade set for Classics/Henkei Rodimus. Due out in December the Protector set a must have for fans of Rodimus and Fansproject alike.

damn. this is the year of awesome hot rod figures. not like i wasnt gonna get him but damn so much hot rod. with mp, and animated, and the sons of cybertron figs. i never thought is spend this much in one year on one char besides optimus or megatron.

Thankfully these aren't the final colours because the exhausts definitely need more detail done to them otherwise that's way too much unbroken red.

It looks like this doesn't have ANY of its paint applications yet: it's been assembled straight from the mold to show the finished product's base colors.

It's really too bad I don't have any version of the Hot Rod figure yet: the armor looks very nice indeed. I've got the Classics SoC set coming in in a couple of weeks, but I'm not sure how the clear Hot Rod will look in the armor.

Even though theres much much details needs on his trailer, its still nice to see what it looks like in color. Cant wait!!!

Since the face looks like a separate piece of plastic from the rest of the head, do you think he'll come with several faces with different expressions as well?

thank god tht is just the base color,..hope the real paint scheme will be more detailed... oh n i do have challenge at cybertron hot rod,n i'll say it WILL look good with him..(except for rody painted window)..

so wheres the pics of carrier? and sidearm? still it needs more paint job hopefully thats the case and we dont get a plane red box .so far so good .... only now fansproject needs to come out with a set of g3 trailer weapons set by themselfs i need more weapons for redalert,dragstrip,overtkill heres for hoping

another thought the black pipes on his forearms gots to go it looks bad. also looking at it the yellow wings n chest plate does not match very well with the figure . and i forgot wheres the pics of shadow scyther??

Oh, that looks gorgeous, even in the base, unpainted form. Which, of course, means that the final product is going to look even better.

I'm thinking that the figure used is a Henkei Rodimus, meaning that the molded plastic wing extensions don't quite match the chromed wings on the figure. Plus, the pictures display an unpainted add-on, so it's possible there is a paint app that will help with that.

If only I had a Hot Rod to go with this. I can totally work this into my TF Budget, but the last thing I need is a trailer sitting around without a Hot Rod to pull it.

Looks pretty good, even unpainted. Can't wait to see the finished product.

i thkink that the orange we see here is exactly what we will be getting on the wing extentions. sidearm will be coming with crome versions of the wing extentions and spoiler

50 Bucks seems a bit much for a trailer, some shoulder pads, boots, and a chestplate. The funny thing is, the body armor makes the figure less G1 accurate. Seems like they wanted to justify a higher price rather than just giving a trailer with a reasonable price of $25-30. Will it be available in the new G1 Rodimus colors released in the 3 pack ???
