Is there some kind of tutorial?? I tried last night and gave up because I did not want to break the toys.
From what I've learned the only semi-nondestructive way to remove those rivets that hold on wheels on most transformers, and heads in this case, is to heat said rivet with a soldering iron. This makes the plastic malleable enough to pull away without causing any long term damage... from what I know.
I've never tried said technique for several reasons. For one, using a soldering iron is dangerous and requires a steady hand... which I don't normally have. Secondly we don't own one and given what I just said I'm not too keen on acquiring one. Lastly this technique does warp the plastic to accomplish from what I've seen, and even though it supposedly will settle back into shape afterward I don't care to risk that it may not.
If you must know though, the tutorial I referenced is over on Sector 70
here.

I think it works well enough, but then I got the idea from
Mega-Octane's TFwiki entry. On that note, I'm still looking into the possibility of a Ruination custom made out of this set. If I can't do it myself I'd really love to see someone else do it.
