So um i've been eye balling the fansproject bruticus for quite some time now (despite how expensive it is 0.o) and i've been wondering which bruticus maximus to get for the set, i know the set is supposed to go with the ROTF/universe bruticus but i think the color scheme just isnt G1 accurate enough which makes me want to get the ROTF bruticus but also get energon barricade to be the chest, but since the set's accesories are supposed to go with ROTF onslaught i thought fansproject MIGHT just make a recolor of the set that goes with the energon barricade mold, so my question is, should i get the ROTF combaticons and energon barricade now (despite how his color scheme doesnt match with the sets) or should i wait until a possible recolor?

While the blue may be more like G1 Onslaught the grey on RotF Onslaught matches G1 Bruticus in combined mode more, IMHO.

Personally, I wouldn't bother waiting. While it's always possible that they'll make a recolor, it's not something to rely on.

Yeah i guess your right, i know i'll curse the day if they ever announce a recolor but lifes too short for that kind of stuff!

Well here is a pic I took when I first got my Bruticus set. I scored a energon Bruticus off ebay for 30 bucks . I like the g1-ish feel but some of the peices have to be wiggled in to get them to fit just right. The sheer size difference between Superion to Bruticus is kind of funny but again true to the cartoon..

lot of pics with the crossfire being used with energon bruticus maximus. hopfully it'll show how well the parts can go with barricade, blackout and kickback

hmm Now that i think about it i do like the overall look, i might just recolor the orange in the feet and the fore arm with a gundam marker if they bother me too much then

This burticus set is my grail right now but i may drop the cash for it in January...still a huge decision on the purchase though and kind of scary. I am really glad I never bought the Superion add-on after looking at the two side by side. Superion just seems like an afterthought as far as the two sets go.

I have got to say that I really like guy. Is it the lastest one of this year?
whatever, the series of G1 are still the most classical. They are my favourite.
