If you were a third-party TF toymaker...

So yeah... if you had a company like FansProject or iGear, and you specialized in upgrades for existing Transformers, what would you make?
The first thing I would do would be to make real hands for Strika. I love that character concept, and I've heard the toy's awesome, but I cannot deal with those hideous excuses for hands!
The next thing I'd do is give Universe Cyclonus some decent legs. I actually have that toy, and I absolutely love the robot mode, but the way the legs transform into vehicle mode just irritates me!
Sorry. go ahead.

-An add-on Powermaster Trailer armor for Classics /Henkei Optimus Prime.
-An add-on Galvatron armor for Classics / Henkei Megatron. The armor's alt mode is also an add-on extra stuff for the gun mode (extra bulk, longer barrel, etc).
-Four scout-class Combaticons that could be combined with Universe's Onslaught to make Bruticus.
Those are what I want for now

- Cartoon-accurate back (not rocketpack), head, axe and rifle for G1 Prime.
That set that came out a few weeks back looks poor.
- Cartoon-accurate head, flail and light-up Fusion Cannon for G1 Megatron.
I already have the TFC flail, but I think a set like this would make a lot of fans happy.
- Improved Zarak for G1 Scorponok.
Slightly bigger so the robot mode doesn't look all weird.
- Clear swords for all the G1 Dinobots
You know you want them.....
- "Weapon Hands" set for G1 Jazz (grappling hook), G1 Starscream (drillbit), G1 Hotrod (buzzsaw w\ lightsabre and shield) ect...
A man can dream....
- New soundchip customisation kit for G1 Galvatron (similar to the Japanese Reissue except its the Frank Welker voice)
Small amount of soldering skill needed, but it'd sound great.
- Arcee Headmaster head for G1 figures.
I think this would be cool, even if just to see what it really does look like on a G1 Chromedome body!

1 ) Teeny tiny cassetticons that can fit in WFC Soundwave's chest
2 ) Deluxe scaled heads with an interchangeable joint system (two size balljoints, pivot, etc) that fit in the underside of the heads, for customizers. Various G1 styled heads, not copies of figures out there.

I like the idea that Fanprojects has in regards to reducing the sizes of both MP Convoy & MP Megatron.
So I'd increase a few TF toy sizes like as follows:
(1) Titanium 6 inch Rodimus Prime. I'd increase to a 9.5 inch sized TF toy.
(2) Classics 2.0 Cyclonus. I'd increase to a $27 ultra size 8 inch sized toy.

I'd make weapons for the smaller Transformer toys that don't have them.
I'd also make Robot Heroes that can actually transform.

Sorry,I should have typed I-gear. I usually get them both confused

Generations Blaster (DL Blaster without the usb part and with a rifle that stores in the legs)
Generations Soundwave (Blaster remold/recolor... new head, weapons, arms and chest, maybe a macbook theme?)
New Cassetticons for these 2 guys, new frenzy, eject, buzzsaw, steeljaw, ramhorn, rabat, overkill, slugfest and all their recolors.
a few more seekers (MTMTE has some good ones)
shockwave
blitzwing
broadside
sandstorm
...

Recreate the TFC Starcream Megatron hand/Optimus hand accessory.
G1 Megatron handgun accessory for G1 Soundwave( to re-create the scene from Fire in the Mountain) similar to my first suggestion.
Create an Orion Pax head for e-Hobby Orion Pax( more like a long-shot 'cause it's sooooooooo limited and the economic profit would be too limited).
G1 chromed sonic speakers for Jazz
G1 rocket pack for Sideswipe
TFC energon axe for Convoy( the latest 3rd party version IMHO isn't too good)
Fan's Project aborted henkei accessories for Optimus and Starscream

New idea: new, G1-accurate heads for all those G1-based repaints that came out in '08 and '09. Especially Big Daddy. I love how they made his face purple again, but it just doesn't work on that headsculpt.

A trailer for Classics Prime with all of these accessories because I like options:
- Roller, to drive the trailer away, parked in trailer
- A wing pack accessory (wings attached on sides of trailer like God Bomber)
- A booster pack for Prime's back to attach the wings to, stored in trailer
- A cartoon accurate rifle, stored in trailer
- A cartoon accurate energon ax that fits over Prime's fist to look like it sticks out of his arm, stored in trailer
- Two Ginrai rifles, stored in trailer (basically the same rifles that came with Powermaster Prime for those who don't have them - they fit nicely in Classics Prime's hands)
- Two movie style battle blades that fit over Primes hands like ax above, stored in trailer
I think that's good for now.

If I were a 3rd party toymaker I would:
The main thing I would do is look around every TF forum, website, etc.. to get ideas of the characters that people really wanted.
Then make them cheap enough for fans to afford and mass market them as best as possible.

I would want:
1) a Powermaster upgrade set for Optimus Prime
2) Blitzwing
3) Broadside
4) Sandstorm
5) The Aerialbot upgrade sets were not complete in my opinion w/out brand new replacement figures for the second molds of the appendages. I would have bought the classics Aerialbot set, repped out 2 of the appendages and used my Snowman version of the upgrade set.
6) A Soundwave and Blaster that can accomodate all the re-vamped cassette characters that are about to hit market.

I want to see a female Targetmaster for Universe Powerglide. Her name would be Targetmistress Astoria, and she would turn into a technology disruption beam.
Also, a repaint would work as a targetmaster partner for Seaspray. She would be Targetmistress Alana, and she would turn into a transmorphing beam (turns it's target into a tree for a short time).

I like the way you think, plus I would like Leonard Nimoy's voice too for my Galvatron. I have the Takara version and I gotta tell ya, I have no clue what he's saying. I keep it on the transforming sound.

What would I make?
I'd start with an updated Warpath in Deluxe scale.
Follow that up with a brand new design based on Megadeath from the comics.
Next up would be updates to some popular Japanese characters like Deathsaurus and Dai Atlas, this time in Voyager scale,
Last, but by no means least, would be a set of Powermaster and Bomber trailers for Classics Optimus Prime!
And I would definitely be open to fan suggestion!

Hats. I'd start with a sombrero to distinguish Scourge from the sweeps. Then probably a bowler hat, or maybe a tribly for the Universe Prowl mould. Of course we'd need a Baseball cap for the various Primes and a fez (and stetson), fez's (and stetson's) are cool.
