FP Defender Repaint Possibilites?

Kind of odd that there hasn't been any signs of repaintage on Defender, seeing as it's a great figure. Anyone have any ideas on characters that would fit the figure? Additional weapons too?

The only one i think would work is Sandstorm.
New head, and a rifle instead of the twin pistols?

They might eventually made an evil version like Shadow Commander and Shadow Scyther.
But, yeah, Sandstorm comes close, yet no other transformer turns into a helicopter and a tank. Maybe if there was a tank transformer that combined with a helicopter... but I can't remember any such duo.

The Duocons Battletrap and Flywheels spring to mind.
Slight problem, though - Battletrap = truck + helicopter, Flywheels = tank + jet.

The Duocons! Bloody hell, I knew I was forgetting something. I guess they could make a repaint named either Battlewheels or Flytrap. The latter works well enough as a name.

This has been my assertion from the beginning.

I would say an "evil" version of him, like in the comic. I would like to see Sandstorm be a whole new mold.

Actually, I talked to the FP Representative at Botcon, and he said due to the imminent release of Not-Broadside and the high production run, there will be no need to recolor him and the mold is now retired. They will not be making anything more from it. They said that they have a prototype of broadside In development, and he will be about twice the height of defender. He will also include a small figurine of Defender to Show scale.

Stixx, did they happen to mention the price on the notBroadside? I can't imagine they'd be able to keep it under $100 but that's the ceiling as set by Hasbro.

Nothing on Price sadly. I expect it to be like 200, all plastic. More if Diecast. Springer was lik 90 when first released.

That's great news about Broadside - I think I missed that news after Botcon.
If FansProject have ruled out a Sandstorm repaint does that mean he'll get his own mold? Seems to be an easy way to get more money from it to me.

That is seriously awesome.
I cannot wait to see that Broadside.
Still hoping to see a Sandstorm at some point down the line
