I got my hands on one of the newly released DIA Powered Commander KO sets from KOToys.com and I posted a ton of pictures on my blog.



To make a long story short, it's AMAZING. These KOs are getting better and better every day. I cannot find a single flaw in it. Everything is KO'ed: the box, the sticker sheet, the comic/instruction book, the TFCon stuff like the energon cube case... If there is a way to detect that you're buying a KO when buying this, I haven't been able to find it.

The parts snap onto Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus pretty much perfectly. I do not recommend putting this on one of the lower quality KO Primes, though. The legs work OK, but the chest and arms have some issues and don't quite fit properly.

This set comes with shoulder rocket launchers also.

I don't have a passionate opinion on KO's one way or the other, but I do find it a little disturbing that there are no distinguishable differences between this and the real deal.

There may be differences to look for...

TFCon PC was decoed and colored to go specifically with Classics Prime.

DIA PC was decoed and colored to go specifically with Henkei Prime.

Cross either of those parings and the reds won't match and the stripe patterns in vehicle mode won't match.

Also, DIA PC did not come with the suitcase with energon in it.

This is a KO of the TFCon version.

I've been told that chrome + Energon briefcase = KO.

Just got the tracking number for mine this morning. Can't wait to get it!

I don't recall the DIA upgrade having a pair of rocket launchers either.

It does. At least mine did.


None of the photos of the KO version are very useful to judge by, but something about where the chrome meets the blue plastic is different. Like the blue curves at a different angle.

But even if it was perfect... I dislike these on principle. A third party making a product that HasTak skipped is great. A third party making a product that already exists, whether by HasTak or a third party, is vulgar.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was made by the same factory. Chinese factories are notorious for that. Hell, if they'll do it to Honda, they'll do it to Fansproject.

It did. Shadow Commander didn't.

Assuming the blue matches up well this should look really nice with KOLD Blue Convoy.

It may look nice, but I have my doubts as to whether the arms will match well with the KO Primes
