my SOC rodimus got some paint scuffs on its spoiler from attaching the protector trailer. if you are using the henkei or SOC rodimus, attach the trailer very carefully

It just slides on with no force required. There is no clipping it on so everyone should just be careful.
Not saying you weren't, grimdragon, but it's a general warning.

I have Classics Rodimus for my Protector, and his roof has a few chips and his rubsign was destroyed by being placed inside the trailer panels.
So, I can only imagine what kind of damage could be done.

I'm using the Sons of Cybertron version of Hot Rod. He has chrome on the spoilers and they scuff when the car is housed in the trailer. Honestly I see no way around it except to not use the chrome versions.

Yeah, seeing how it scuffed the roof on my Classics Hot Rod, I wouldn't dare put a chromed figure into that contraption.
You're guaranteed to ruin it. Hardcore.
It's a great trailer, and it does what it promises, but the design isn't made to prevent such things.

Do the problems primarily seem to be coming when attaching Protector in trailer mode?
I normally display two of each mold, one in robot and one in alt-mode. I was going to use my Henkei Rodimus in vehicle mode, but was going to swap the chromed spoiler with the Classics figure I'd be using for robot mode (since the spoiler is barely visible with the trailer attached in vehicle mode).
Has anyone had problems with the spoiler extensions scratching the Henkei chromed spoiler in robot mode?

So far, I don't recall any complaints about the extensions. It's all been damage from placing him in the trailer, or attaching Sidearm on Hot Rod's spoiler in vehicle mode.
Other than that, and a bit of paint scuffing on the roof, there's been no other damage I can recall.

Hm, thanks for the warning, guys. I'll be extra careful when I use it with my Hot Rod.

yea the damage was just from the spoiler rubbing against the trailer when putting it in. just gotta slide it in very carfully cause the gold on the chrome will scratch off very easily, leaving a silver chrome mark on the spoiler.
Luckily enough, a quick coat of Tamiya Translucent Yellow paint helped make the damage less noticable (only a small dab done very carfully).

What I'm getting from this is that it's safer to use Classics Hot Rod than Henkei. Which makes sense since this was designed before Henkei was released and the chrome spoiler wasn't an issue.
I'm not large fan of the type of chrome Henkei uses. It's ratehr cheap. The chrome on my Megatron is suffering on the legs and I tend to worry about the other bots.

No problem there. The chest tampographs are fine, due to the fact that the Protector chest piece has a rather spacious gap between it and Hot Rod's chest, actually.
I find it incredibly odd...they'll strive to protect that (no pun intended), yet the chrome is thrown to the wolves, so to speak.
I think they were past the point of no return and hoped for the best. Does this ruin the set? No. It's just better to use Classics Hot Rod instead.
A forewarning would've been helpful though.

I just looked at mine. No problems whatsoever with it. I'm using the classics Roddy, and i'm also using the chrome pieces. No scuffing or scratches and, yes, I've taken it off a couple of times. I haven't had a chance to transform him yet, so I'll post if there are any problems.....
