how is the quality of the current KO reflector?

thinking of buying one as it's one of the g1's out of my price range for the original. i've searched all over and haven't found any reviews of the KO that's identical to the original reflector, only for the oversized one. so, to those that have it or have seen one, does the quality match up to the original? or is it not worth the money.

Depends, if you are looking at it as a showpiece and you're just going to admire in it's package (out of the white outer box of course!) than it's good. Everything is almost a perfect repro of the original. If you want to play around with it you might want to think twice. I wouldn't recommend handling them more than absolutely necessary. I tried to transform them into the camera and a piece broke off when I tried to connect the 3 together. Hope that helps your decision.

If you can't afford a G1 Reflector complete - build one! Just buy the bits when you can afford them and slowly get a complete one. Its better than spending a wad on a KO that may just fall to pieces later.

I got one a few months back. The middle robots post that connect to the blue one was so tight the post broke off.So I fixed and I'm going to repaint it the cartoon colors and buy an authentic g1 version to replace it.So I agree with Amelie.

I did exactly that. The KO is a piece of crap in my opinion. admittedly it looks good from a distance but look closer and the poor QC is really obvious. It broke in alt' mode when I tried to prise the three robots apart, and after that it went in the bin.

When I considered just how much I actually paid for it including shipping, then it didn't represent value for money at all. I then spent £240 on an original 100% genuine MIB in very good condition, but with a few untidy stickers. I plan to fully restore him/them later this year.

Do yourself a favour and don't buy the KO. Save your money and get an original instead, yes you'll pay more initially but it would represent a good investment at the same time.
