An update regarding G1 KO REissues

Since everyone here asked for FORT MAX, we inquired and told them that people are really begging for FORT MAX.

Well u ask, you shall receive.

FORT MAX HAS BEEN MOVED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. He will be made FIRST Ahead of both ABOMINUS and COMPUTRON (actually i think both abominus and max were in the first stages)

So, there will be all 3 versions of FORT MAX, the retail price will be around 300$ US.

Both Abominus and Computron will now be delayed until AFTER FORT MAX.

Stickers for all 3 have already been made.

FORT MAX ETA - 6 months from Today - August, or before August.

I'm going to be buying a Grand Maximus. I won't even care that it's a reproduction. $3,000 vs $300 The choice, so long as the quality is good, is clear.

I'm going to have to think of a way to get an extra $900 because I want all three! I wonder if Grand is going to get his Pretender shell?

Sounds great for those who don't have the cash to drop on the originals. I have a vintage Fort Max and I don't think I have any interest in the other two. I know that Grand Max is expensive as all get out, but can't you get Brave Max for around $300? Msybe not but I thought you could.

I fully intend to get a Vintage G1 Fort Max at some point, but I may like a Grand Max. I'll have to see what the reviews say about these before I spend the money.

Not any more. Last I heard he was pushing $600-700

Grand Max is in the thousands.

Same here. I'd be willing to bend my rule about KOs for Fort Max, but only if the quality is good. If it's anything like those KO Metroplexes, I'll pass.

The only version of the Fort Max mold I have is Brave Max, which I paid about $400.00 for loose a couple of years ago. If the quality is good on these KO's I will definitely pick up Grand Max and possible Fortress Maximus. If nothing else I could get the KO for all the accessories and pair them with authentic Fort Max body.

KO FORT MAX

All parts recreated? I'm down for Grand, Fort is a huge maybe. Hard for me to wrap my head around $300 for a KO otherwise. I'd be real interested in Lucky Draw style bits for Brave Max.

That's pretty crazy for Brave Max. I didn't pay much more than that for that for my complete Fort Max about a year ago.

ko fort max !!!!!!!!

I just read on K.O.toys that a FortMax is in the works!!!!
Does any one know if this is true?!?! I don't see how they would be able to do It at a reasonable price. Don't get me wrong I really like there site, and I have been buying a lot of the seekers that they have reissued, but FortMax!?!?
This seems like a pretty tall task, when do you think it will be cancelled

Yeah, me too. Much as I'd like a G1 vintage, I couldn't justify blowing my whole tax refund for one. 8-}

Great! More knock-offs that people will try to pass off on ebay as the real thing. I don't know what's worse; the people that make these KOs, or the fools that buy them.

I really wish Hasbro/Takara Tomy would crack down on these people.

KO FORT MAX WILL CHANGE THE GAME!!!

I know, god forbid someone actually get a chance to own of these for 1/5 the price it costs to find one with all the accessories.

The thing that is worse than the companies that make them and the people that buy them are the people who hoard rare figures and parts and drive the prices up for these items until real collectors cannot afford own the real thing.

If the HasTak made one and it cost a little more than the KO, I would buy it from them, but they don't care about me.

I look forward to any and all KO's!

Sorry, but i'd rather waste a few weeks worth of pay on the genuine and have it as the pride of my collection, and not take a cheaper and easier way out.

Someone's bound to take offense to that comment, but you know what? Not my problem. I want genuine articles in my collection, it's what I take pride in.

None taken from me, and now all of the "original" FT MAX parts will be less, from 1/2 to maybe even 1/4, of what they were originally priced at. So everyone wins who actually wants to own one, play with it, display and enjoy it!

It is a win/win for the community!

I scored a genuine MIB Brave Max a while ago for $350, but I'd still like a Fort Max, so if it looks really good I might just pick it up. As for Grand Max, I never cared for it, the red was too much and too loud, so I'll pass that up even for $300.

Far from it.

Those pieces won't come down in price, in fact they'll stay the same and now we'll have to contend with the problem of not knowing if what we're buying is genuine or not.

It's been an on-going problem since KO's first entered the market. They don't bring prices down, they just give scumbags better opportunities to screw over others by marketting KO's as legitimate pieces.

What people will really have to look out for is genuine bodies with a mix of KO accessories. I've had that happen to me before. Bought G1 Divebomb and Tantrum and they showed up with KO combiner parts, swords, and even Divebomb's wings.
