It would look cool next to an eHobby gold Jazz, but I refuse to support these guys.

I'll stick with FansProject.

That ain't no Goldbug, that's G2 Bumblebee.

Why do people always confuse him with Goldbug when Goldbug wasn't the least bit shiny (much less even chrome)?

I stand corrected. As for why so many confuse the two, the implication of Goldbug's name and lack of G2 knowledge would be my guess.

They should have spent a few minutes fixing those God awful arms. Then it might have been a possible. This is an extremely easy pass.

Actually they aren't calling it anything yet, they may not even make it. They just posted these images to their facebook page. I just called it Bumblebee because that's clearly what he is. They will probably call it Bee03 or something like that.

Is there any particular reason why iGear gets all the hate over all the other KO makers?

Sure they make KOs. But the KO Seekers are about the same as is the KO Sideswipe mold stuff and the G1 KOs. Don't see as much hate about them as iGear.

Why dont they just make a Goldbug head add on set for United Bumblebee ??? This mold sucks...

But I still gotta give I-Gear props for having the balls to do what they do. It's so funny how they continue to stick it to Hasbro !!! Keep up the good work !!! ;)

I'm convinced they were sitting around watching the electrum episode and decided to paint it gold.

Either that or they are just trying to create a way of milking us for more money.

Still standing by the fact that I won't be buying any of their products.

My guess is because iGear is considered a 3rd Party group as opposed to a KO outfit. You don't ever hear CHMS spoken of alongside FansProject and the like. Further, if the KO companies ever got shut down, most collectors wouldn't be too upset...or would at least find it justified. On the other hand, people would be pissed if the 3rd Party groups got shut down because of what iGear is doing.

So it's more because the fandom considers them to be 3rd part producers more than KO producers? It's true that they're right on that line between KO production and unique products since they've made both. Even so it seems like a matter of the fandom simply classifying them wrong than anything they're doing. It's not like they had the first MP KO.

I'm not sure it'd be iGear's fault for making KOs that brings down 3rd parties. But if / when they're brought down I suppose we can simply ask which product broke the camel's back.

That's what I'm going with...I don't think there are many collectors out there that are pro-CHMS (or other KOs) but anti-iGear. But I think there are plenty that are anti-KO, but all for FansProject and others doing what they do.

for me personally, it's the disappointing lack of effort or imagination they sometimes bring to the table.
Cy-gar Kup? great idea! Re-shelling a pretty poor Bumblebee toy? and then making it all gold chrome? not so great.

as far as the KO MPs go, hasn't been something I've been interested in but I suppose it's cool they're out there for some people.

iGear also allegedly stole those Seeker Customs from a Kitbasher or some other such nonsense. The real thing that grinds everyone's gears is that they do not engineer their own toys, and, as a result, do not add anything. That is more KO fare than 3rd party add ons.

Well, what we consider them is less their doing and more ours, I think. I don't see what the big difference is between Faith Leader and the Seeker KOs at all. Both are priced at the same or higher than their official counterparts. Both are blatant KOs. It's inconsistant to be fine with one and not fine with another.

I did forget about them lifting the idea for MP Dirge from a customizer, though. Although it's still possible that it's different since nobody has their MP Seekers in hand to tell us what the transformation is. It's probably the same. Yeah, that's definately poor form.
