EEEK! Yeah, I hope iGear will listen to fan response and lose the spotty-red detailing on the blue rainmaker. Besides looking out-of-place and speckled... it's certainly not in the G1 cartoon depicting the rainmakers.
I think a subtle AND monochromatic color scheme is the way to go for them. (ie. tints and shades of blue, white, black for this blue guy)
Red detailing on Sunstorm doesn't bother me, though. Looking good.

Sunstorm, AWESOME.
Blue jet with red legion dude...almost awesome. I think I will need to pain those when he arrives in our studio.

Are MP Rainmakers really necessary? Could they possibly do any less significant characters? I mean, I get the appeal of the Classics KO versions, but considering the limited number of characters in the MP line, the significance of (or lack thereof) these characters, and the price tag...why bother? If you have any intentions of getting this and the inevitable other two, really, I'm curious...
ps: why don't they put the faction symbols on any of these? They can steal the design and character to a T, but using the insignia just so happens to cross the line?

If they're doing KOs of the Seekers they may as well do the Rainmakers. They went to all the trouble of copying the mold, after all. And if the fandom has proven one thing above all else it's that there's always a market for seekers. Even stupidly expensive ones.
Kinda wonder if they'll count Sunstorm as Mr. Yellow and Takara's SS as Acid Storm. Neither really fit for different reasons, but they are KO makers, so ... who knows?
I am also not impressed by the red marks on Mr. Blue. What were they thinking?

Honestly, I'd rather see the lavender "generic" seeker who showed up in more episodes. He's kinda the quintessential troop-builder I always wanted. Had to get a few of the classics KO versions to pad my Decepticon ranks on the ole Classics/Generations/Henkei/United shelf.

i just cant get behind this i dont mean that in a bashing sort of way but the appeal of the mold to me is its realism. i could see a white, blue/green, or even black mold but an orange one next well get neon green smh.

Suggestions :
1. Make the heads black.
2. Replace the red on Sunstorm with the proper orange like the original E-Hobby figure.
All this talk about comparing the red dots to herpes scares me. Seriously, how do you guys know what genital herpes looks like ???

I prefer the red-chested Sunstorm, like the comics and PVC figure. But to each his own.
The red dots don't look too great on him either. Why iGear? Why??

I've been asking this same question for several years and people keep telling me they're like the holy grail of seekers.
It's one thing to pay $60 for the CHMS rainmaker KO set. It's another thing to pay 10 times that for third party MP's. People are dumb.

After TT/Hasbro's decision to release another MP Prime in scale which, to me, makes the iGear Leaders useless, I'm not gonna pass on these. I wouldn't be surprised if we see official MP seekers down the line.

But with the new mp prime coming out I'm very sorry I bouth there's just to be in scale.. Got damn it!

Basic question: What is the meaning of CHMS ?

Couldn't tell you what it stands for, but they're a KO manufacturer.

Are they the same company that keeps the "KO Toys" website ?

No, but KO Toys seems to send them various color patterns to make.
