Has anyone seen these? They're super cheap transformers rip offs called MARS Robots

Some cars and stuff and some actual robots that are not vehicles?

Anyone seen these?

I've also seen some based on branded stuff like Ford cars and GM cars under those labels.

I think I might've seen them in stores before, but I don't know anything about them.

Well they're just like Transformers only from a third to half the price of a proper transformer. Not as intricate as the real deal but they still transform so I guess they could be classed as cheap imitations rather then direct knock offs.

They aren't as cheap as you think. They are built pretty decent. They are mainly for young boys, not us collectors. Some kids have issues with Alternators so these are a nice substitute. Rather see these broken than an Alternator.

I don't see these as KO's but alternatives to buying more expensive TF's.

I think they sell these at Walgreens and Walmart here. But they're not KOs...just cheap transforming toys, at least the ones that transform.

I've heard mixed results on them ranging from decent to utter s**t. They don't really look interesting enough for me to find out for myself, though. I pass on enough actual TFs that seem lacking, yet still look better than these...so I don't think I'll ever be getting around to picking any up.

Yes, they sell a bunch of these at Walmart. They are right under the Transformers on the shelf. I never really thought of them as KO though, because they are not really trying to be Transformers. KO's to me are toys that are trying to be duplications of real Transformers.

Over here at Toys R Us they are actually on the same shelf as the transformers so anyone buying the real thing would see those. I know they're not proper knock offs but in a way they're imitations. IMHO

I posted about these last year, and even posted pics and a brief review of the three I got ahold of (the blue roadster, grey supercar, and classic "57 Chevy" kinda almost). Can't find the thread, though...

EDIT:

AHAH!
