Anyone have these? I am thinking about getting both and repainting the Starscream KO as Skywarp. Then, I won't have to pay outrageous prices for UM and Skywarp for the Classics set. The UM KO looks like a repaint of Universe Asian Market Prime, which I currently have representing Prime in my G1 modern collection. Please let me know if you have them and what you think of them.

Also, can anyone point me in the direction of a seller who I can get rub symbols off of. I need an autobot and decepticon one. Thanks!

if you're interested in getting a Skywarp, and don't mind a KO, I believe KOToys.com has some in the correct colours. No need to repaint.

That "Ultra Magnus" is a KO of the Classics Deluxe Prime that was in the 2 pack with Classics G2 Megatron.

edit: oh, and reprolabels is the place to go for all sorts of stickers.

Id just keep looking I picked up an opened Heinke (sp) Skywarp for $30 plus shipping.

I dont think buying a cheap one, taking it apart and repainting it woudl be worth the $20 less supplies cost.

The site is awesome, but was such a tease considering it is in china. It is $43 minimum to ship something here. If I wanted an UM KO then it might be worth it, but the one I posted 1st will be fine as I already have Universe Prime.

I actually do have that Starscream knockoff.

The guns do NOT fit in the hands and the toy itself is somehow both too light -- I'm afraid of breaking it -- and yet has stiff joints.

As something just to look at in display, it's pretty next to all the other seekers of the same mold. Not so much for actual poseability and gun-holding.

I am watching one now on ebay, but it has jumped to $41 plus shipping with time left. This dictates at least a $50 price tag on Skywarp. Yikes.....

I imagine Hasbro will release him again as a full on deluxe, but for now I think I will buy the KO and repaint him. The KO is $11 and the paint will run me about $10. But, I will have the paint going forward for other modeling jobs. I used to customize heroclix figures back in the day and it was fun for me. I might take a crack at Skywarp....why not?

Does he have arm pegs like most other seekers? If so, that will work as I mount the S1 seekers with their guns in the pegs, not hands.

Actually, the knockoff DOES have the arm pegs and the guns/nullrays/whatever they are DO fit in to those pegs rather easily.

Another note: The wings keep falling backwards when in robot mode. Very floppy. But not too big a concern, really, if for display; just prop the wings back up 'til they stay put.

Is it the same molds as Universe Starscream and the Asian Market/Universe 2pack Prime? They look dead on to me.

I went ahead and bought both UM and Starscream after the Universe Skywarp ended for $45 plus shipping. Combine that with the fact that Classics Ultra Magnus is around $80 and he doesn't really look like UM. He is just a repaint of Classics Prime with no retooled head or nothing. That is not cool. For $80 he better be damned sweet looking. The one Classics one is nothing different than anyone with a paintbrush and a steady hand couldn't do. Seriosuly the classics voyager should have been repainted into Motormaster instead with a retooled head. You can tell I'm not a fan of Classics Voyager UM.....

For the $9 KO Magnus is worth it as he is technically just a repaint just like Classics voyager. Until something better comes along he'll be on my shelf.

Thanks for the tips on the KO as it is my first KO and I didn't know what to expect. But, these looked good for KO's.

The Starscream IS the same mold as the henkei/classics/generation seeker line. However, the cockpit is not transparent plastic but just painted on kinda crudely, but it's otherwise pretty awesome for display.

Alas, I do not. I was kind of on a seeker binge at the time of buying the Starscream knockoff. XD

So, sorry, can't offer any insight on the UM knockoff.
