TFSource have updated their Facebook page with an album of the upcoming clear Protector by FansProject.
Clear Protector is, of course a clear version of FansProject's Protector armour for Classics
Rodimus.
While you can use this to make crazy combinations with one of the many versions of the Cassics Rodimus mold, this is made to fit the clear Rodimus from the recent "Sons of Cybertron" 2-Pack.
Just click
here or the image to get to the album.

I really like how bright this version looks. The paint apps over the clear red just pop! But i passed on the clear Hot Rod, so I will be passing on the clear Rodimus. Very cool though.

I did by the Sons of Cybertron set, but it went straight into storage without me actually even opening the box, mostly due to lack of real interest. However, seeing as it;s the only version of Hot Rod that I own, and seeing as how I was never really able to use any of the other Protector molds before, this is a very viable option to perhaps make something of ol' clear red Hot Rod / Rodimus...

I have both the Classics Rodimus and the Sons of Cybertron Rodimus. I use the regular Guardian armor on the Sons of Cybertron w/ the gold chrome optional spoilers. If I were to pick this up I'd probably swap the new spoilers for the old set and then sell off the regular armor. Of course, just like I did w/ the normal armor I would put reprolabel's flaming decals on the clear set.

I don't own any clear Transformers but this set makes me want to pick up the SoC set to display it in alt mode. It's really beautifully executed.

More accurately, it was released AT Botcon. TFSource had a ton of them at the Con.

for anyone who was not at BOTCON here is the first post I saw for this topic. 6-8-11 General Tekno
So, with all the convention news, this somehow seems to have slipped under the radar.
BBTS just listed a clear version of Protector.

The set does look good and all the positives people have said about this set just sold me on it. Biggest downside is that BBTS doesn't have the SOC set, they are sold out.
Never bought it because I didn't want the sucky Prime.

Well, when you get the Sons of Cybertron set, just go ahead and mail me that sucky Prime. You don't want him. Personally, I think it would be an embarrassment to your collection. BUT, since I'm such a nice guy, I'll take the sorry thing and give it a home.

Boooooooring. I'm kind of ready for this translucent TransFormer fad to be over.
Now, do a blue Protector repaint for TFCC Sideburn and I will probably buy two.

This is about as far as I can go where pics are concerned...had no time to open it up yet. Same goes for my Protector and Shadow Scythe kits. Will take group pics when I can find the time during weekends

Got to see this in person at Botcon. I don't own the SOC set but if I did, I'd have bought this too. It's very impressive in person and I'm actually hoping the hype for these dies quickly because I don't need a third one. Very pretty though.

Exactly the problem, I do want it. I don't need or have room to display a clear version of something I already own though.

Oh man you are going to try to logic this one? You must have more sense than me. I'm just a sucker. For example: Movie Starscream. I don't really care for the actual movie, but I love the complexity of the figures, I just bought deluxe Starscream and Thundercracker, they are cool, but:

I had to hang them behind the open door because I have no more room. The way I see it, one day, I will have room. So, I don't let display space (as much as I want more display space) sway my decision. Besides, you can always rotate who is on display! All I'm saying, if there is a piece you want, better get it now, it might just be the next Cliffjumper upgrade from FP!

I don't need any more Cliffjumper upgrades, mine is perfect.

Nice. Hey let me ask you, do you have a macro lens or something? I cannot seem to get clear close ups like that picture you posted. I have a pretty nice point and shoot (14.1 megapixels) with an optical zoom, but when I move close to a figure, I get blur. What's the deal?

I have a point and shoot too but it has a macro setting. I basically just try to play with the camera until I get what I want from it. That or I simply give up. I'd like a decent photo setup but I don't really have the time or money to put into it. I just cross my fingers that my toy pics don't suck. Sometimes it works. Haha.
