I just came across this a second ago. He was my favorite of the Headmasters. I need to know if he is the real deal or not. Can someone help?

I've yet to see KO's of Nightbeat, but I still would avoid sellers like him. He has to have come across a nice volume of toys for a reason, and the most likely reason (to me) is that they're KO's being sold as the real deal. I'm a bit paranoid about that.

If I were you, I'd look elsewhere, especially if you're planning on opening him up. $150 for one MISB Nightbeat is a bit too rich for my blood, unless it was his transgendered repaint Minerva.

Judging by the damage to the boxes, and comparing them to a known, graded example, I would tentatively ID those as being real. I'd be willing to bet they're NOS (probably been sitting in a warehouse or shipping container these last 24 years), rather than from someone's collection though.

They're all sold now anyway, so the point's moot.

These are most likely real. There was a pretty well recorded 2007 or early 2008 warehouse find of G1 Nightbeat cases: all in European (French / Dutch language) boxes (as these are). The only thing 'wrong' with the item listing is his statement that these are "extremely rare seen" versions. They are actually relatively common and regularly pop up on eBay, at around the price these are going for, BTW. They are indeed officially licensed Hasbro products, but re-released in China in 1995.

See here for more info.

I've dealt with this seller before and he's dependable. I actually think he's the original finder, and he's been dripping these Nightbeats onto eBay since 2008 (check his feedback). Judging by his feedback, he also found a stock of Landcross'es, Road Caesar's and perhaps even some LioKaisers.
Looks like he's selling these from best quality to worse... So this might mean he's slowly running out of stock.

I think he put more up for sale. Somebody mentioned earlier he has a whole bunch and has been slowly putting them up for sale.
