The collector in me has a debacle...

Hi guys,

I need some advise on a bit of an issue I have. It's not a MAJOR issue, but something that i'm not sure what I should do about.

My collection tastes are fairly limited. I only collect Masterpiece line & 3rd party stuff.

iGears Jet's are the perfect addition to my collection then, right?

I order all three and they have arrived, but to my utter disappointmentm my order was 1 x J, and 2 x E... No A. I was shattered, Thrust was the jet I was looking forward to the most as I used to love the G1 toy.

So here I am faced with having to contact an international seller, organise delivery of the package back, then wait for the return of my new jet.

It took over a week to hear back from RK about the mistake, and now I have to post one of the E's back.

Just as I am preparing to send one of them, I thought I should at least check the box to make sure I am getting the one with the better QC, and low and behold, here is my iGear Thrust, in the other dirge box!

Now this makes me both relived and troubled. Finally onto my question...

Do I worry about the hassle of sending the figure back to RK as they sent it in the incorrect box or do I keep the figure, and just have the wrong box for it.

Something just doesn't quite sit right with having two of the same box, if you know what I mean, but Its just such a hassle to send the figure back to hong kong, and have to pay for the postage.

Has anyone had any similar experiences?

No such experience, but I would suggest just keep the correct figure and ignore the wrong box. To save you time and money going back and forth.

Well, you stated that it was a hassle to deal with the international seller. They obviously have packaging issues. Whats to say that you get a correct box with the wrong figure inside it?

I would just keep the correct toy. If you are going to open the figure anyway, the box is irrelevant.

Try contacting them to try to explain what happened and if they are willing to send you just the correct box. It was there mistake, so if they are lagit they should be cool with that. Explain you are a collector and the box is important part of product. Better thenhaving to send perfectly good figure back just for the box, and it should be cheaper..I think

I had a similar problem with a missing part. I took pictures, and emailed RK describing what was missing. It took a month, but they did send me the missing parts once they got extras in stock. I am satisfied with their customer service.

My suggestion. Take a picture of your 3 figures and 3 boxes. And show them what's wrong.
Best case, they send you the correct box.
Worse case, you have to send back the duplicate box, but then they send you the correct box. Plus shipping back an empty box first class shouldn't cost much.

It wouldn't make any sense sending them back the correct figure.
