Just checked Renderform.com to see if there was anything new on DOTM Vortex head upgrade and the poll was up for the next upgrade.

Universe Sideswipe.

DOTM Vortex.

Universe Roadbuster.

Universe Springer.

Universe Dragstrip.

For me its a bit of a hard choice once i saw Vortex in there as i thought he was going to be next.

But seeing Dragstrip in there made me stop and think about my vote,

is it more benifitial to give a character who has an original head the G1 head (vortex) or give a character thats a remould his deserved G1 head?(Dragsrtip,Roadbuster)

Or to upgrade a character who is already G1 accurate(sideswipe)incase of a gun and shoulder missile.

What do you think Who would you like to be next.

I like Renderform, but here's where things are with them and me...

My Darkwing kit has not arrived yet and I never got an order confirmation for Goldbug.

And now, I'm moving this to the 3rd party forum where it belongs.

Doesnt sound to promising for my Darkwing kit then i ordered mine on the very last leg of them ive still got a few weeks to wait (fingers crossed) i only hope he remembers about refunds! and hasnt spent all his cash making them bumblebees.

Yeah, I'm not hating on him. But I'm definitely in the EXACT same boat as you, on both the same problems. I can only hope that something comes through. I wan to give him until the 20th of this month, then it'll be a month since I got notification that my piece was mailed out.

Man that sucks that you guys haven't received your RF-005 kits yet, because it vastly improves that figure. I got mine about two weeks ago, according to the packaging mine was 70 of 350. Hopefully you guys will get yours sooner than later.

I'm still waiting for mine as well. Granted I ordered it fairly late so maybe there's another run that has to occur? I don't know.

Either way, I suspect the next few updates we'll be seeing from Renderform will be the Bumblebee heads, then we'll move on to other things.

If they would put out the Roadbuster head I'd not only get it but the figure too. I'm doing a Wreckers collection inside my classics collection and he would really help round out the line as long as iGear still produces the LSOTW line they reveled the head sculpts for.

add me to the list for waiting for the RF-005 kit...he does do these by himself and warned of a 4-6 week turnaround time which is understandable. Although I emailed him requesting an update (maybe some pics) as his invoice encouraged this and I have yet to get a response.

I also just bought a house and told him I will have to change my mailing address if not sent out soon.

I think he's getting really overwhelmed. The Renderfrom website says the RF-006 orders are now closed and he got a lot of orders. Hopefully you guys get your RF-005's soon.

getting overwhelmed might be a good thing, maybe his operation could expand and be able to provide injection molded abs down the line, and more complex upgrades

I'm still making RF-005 kits. I won't be starting the Goldbug kit production until all RF-005 kits are shipped out. The molds for the Goldbug kit are done though. But for that project, I'm still on schedule to ship out by the end of October. And as this is all done on my spare time, after work, somethings do get pushed around. Like I haven't been able to spend a lot of time going through the Goldbug orders. There are still 200 orders to go through. But RF-005 kits are the priority, so I'm concentrating on that mostly. Once I'm done invoicing and recording people's orders for the Goldbug kits, I will update my website to let everyone know. At that point, you will know yourself if your submitted order was missed or not.

For those that know your RF-005 kits were shipped, but haven't arrived, please contact me, along with your invoice or paypal email. There was a batch of kits that seem to have had shipping issues. So I'm shipping replacements to those that did not receive a kit after 3 weeks, to the US. I'll do my best to reply to everyone as soon as possible.

The poll on my website is mostly to see what other people are interested in. It doesn't mean I will actually make it the next project.

Wasn't sold on the replacement heads for RTS Wreck Gar... Help us Obi Venks, you're our only hope.

Venk - thanks for the update! I think it's really important that you post the estimated late October shipping date on the front page of your site, to prevent some of these types of queries and so folks are getting information straight from the source. You may not have estimated it beforehand, but that makes the pre-order a 2 month wait, some folks may have a shorter expectation time frame - most people should readily understand the situation. Also I'm so glad I got my order confirmation already.

Everyone else - I've only had one other experience with Venksta, he was EXTREMELY fast in replying to my question and I'm very happy with the product I purchased (a replica rifle for Blaster to use with my DeviceLabel version). Sure, the "one man crew" issue has been brought up before, but I feel he's been very professional about keeping us up to date. For now, I'm patiently wait for the Bumblebee upgrades.

Sounds to me like this Renderform needs to go into full business doing the resin kits. Time to get out of the garage.
