Question for fellow iGear PP03S Storm owners...

Just got mine yesterday from TFSource (superfast shipping as always!), only after noticing now it didn't come with the normal bag with labels, character card and comic - did anyone else get theirs?

I know it's a small thing, but I would like the option of the labels especially. Should I contact TFSource, or iGear directly?

I got mine earlier this week and also didn't receive the booklet or sticker set the coneheads came with, and I was a little disappointed.

But, let me save you some time. Storm doesn't come with either the stickers or booklet. If you review the product page from iGear's shop, it's not listed in the included items section. Further investigation shows that each Conehead has them, but Storm nor the new Seeker repaints will have them.

Now, it might help contacting iGear to ask that they include these in the future releases, as it's not part of the package as yet. Couldn't hurt.

Did you notice the hinge on each leg to move the wings up a bit? Excellent addition to the mold!

I did notice that!!

Each of the coneheads also come with nice solutions to the hip swivel kibble on the originals - if I didn't have the original Takara releases of Thundercracker and Skywarp (and the Starscream US G1 Hasbro version) I might have been tempted by the other announced ones, but I would get a purple clone or a lime-green Rainmaker if they were to extend the line.

I was intrigued about the labels and comic as it did list a collectors card as being included on their site - odd that they didn't include those with this one. Many thanks for the help!

Hmmm.. my box was pretty beat up so I just figured that I got shafted on the comic and stickers. Not a big deal to me though.
On a side note, while I do like the figure, it seems the plastic is not as good as the Thrust release I have. Is it just me or is the plastic a bit cheaper feeling?

What "extra hinge" are you talking about?

I was concerned about the quality of plastic before receiving it, But didn't have any problems once in hand.

The new feature is on the legs. The "wing", but think I should've said tail fins, are on an adjustable hinge, buy allows you to move it up a bit so they do not impede the legs from standing up properly. There's also a picture of the adjustment on the box.

Oh.. thanks! Is this a feature that is new for Igear and is not on the the Coneheads? I am assuming that it is the slide up action for the ex hip kibble that you and the pic are referring to..seems to be the same for both but I have had a few (beers) while watching the Lions COME BACK FTW 3-0! and may just be missing it.

Yeah, the plastic itself is just matt and coloured, not given a metallic paint job like the coneheads - I think this why Storm and the TC and SW versions run a little cheaper.

Thats a shame. The cheaper feel o it has got me off the fence about getting any of the the original seekers. Thrust seemed to be about on par with HasTak as far as quality but Storm has me worried about handling to much. Again, I like him but there is a noticeable reduction in quality on the plastic selection. From the looks of the pics I have seen of the OG trio coming out I suspect they would be about the same.

Hmmm, looking at the pics on iGear's site, (I know they're not final, but... price being in line with Storm, it would be a fair guess to make) I'm gonna stick my neck out and say that they'll probably be the same - appealing to non-Takara owners as original seekers, but also appealing to Takara owners who want Anime versions and/or completists (like those who bought Storm).

I would still wait it out and see, - I might be completely wrong, but, if you want paint apps like the coneheads, I would keep an eye out for Takara MP TC and SW, as long as they are at a decent price.

Yeah, got the Tak seekers, versions with the hip mod was appealing but with all the stuff coming out and the cheaper feel to Storm compared to the Thrust figure I am gonna pass. Not to say they are not pretty cool though.

Not to totally change subject, but where could someone find pics of where to put all the stickers on the Coneheads? Got them all yesterday and they look fantastic (Storm as well, just didnt open them).

Now I just need to finish my basement so I can display them properly.

Use this picture as a guideline: http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... 1657/1/47/

Or just keep looking at the gallery for more ideas. You will not use all the stickers included, but at least it gives you a relative guide.

To date, I have not added any of the stickers to my Coneheads.
