Move over CrazyDevy, there's a new G1 Devastator upgrade in town! New prototype images of Junkion Blacksmith's JB-07 upgrade set for G1 Devastator have made their way to ACToys. These images show off some of the new articulation this set will provide the Generation 1 Gestalt. It's believed that all the Junkion Blacksmith parts will come in one set, rather than the piece by piece strategy used by CrazyDevy. Great timing considering the Encore Devastator gift set is right around the corner. Images mirrored below.

I hope the price isn't insane on this. Personally I like this a lot more than the CrazyDevy sets. Looks like they basically adopted a keep-it-simple-stupid approach with it and it looks great. AND it's all packaged together, not segmented like the CrazyDevy sets for a ridiculous price. Just hoping they get the pricing right on this, it'd be cool to give my Devastator a little more posability.

Ooooh....very niiice! I like.

Looks to definitely be worth pickin up. I haven't taken the bait on ANY of the Devestator 3rd party offerings yet.

This just might change that if the price isn't crippling.

Uh oh, I'm not seeing a visor on this fella. Let the complaining commence.

Perhaps the competition will bring Crazy Devy's prices down.

Yeah, I'll get this, if it isn't overly priced like Crazy Devy. Hey, maybe they should do Predaking next.........

If it's an original figure based on what the fandom wants most, Id be the first in line to complain about no visor. But since this is just an upgrade for G1 figures, it might as well stay original. Im no fan of mixing G1 figures with classics figures so these sets arent for me.

Anyone else notice the prototype is using the non-combining French Constructicon molds?

Those ones had the combiner ports taken out from what I understand. Probably why Bonecrusher isn't attached to the rest of the figure.

Looks pretty good, also going by their Predaking set, this will be amazingly awesome and fun to play with and it will be of great quality.
I'm not interested since I don't own a G1 Devastator nor will I ever, but it does look good.

Meh, IMO the CrazyDev stuff looks better. Thighs look too long, chest plate to narrow and hands look to big. Maybe just need to see it in color.

I like it. Hands and head are slightly big but the hip and leg joints are nice.

Make them G1 colours with purple colours between his hip and thigh.

Good job!

OMG! I'm beginning to OD on Devestator!! Can somedody PLEASE work on another combiner soon.

I mean.....Devestator is great. With all the different companies doing upgrades or whatever that can cater to almost every budget outthere is marvelous but can we move on to other combiners now please!

I would never buy anything like this. If I had a G1 Devastator, I'd only want to display him in pure G1 form. Otherwise, there are third party versions that offer the updated version. This is a waste of money.

Don't get me wrong when I say this, since everyone is entitled to their opinions, but say for example that a collector wanted to make a diorama using Devastator. Keep in mind that this collector is not Bill Gates rich, and doesn't have the money to afford the Hercules set. Said collector wanted to have Devastator in a pose that is impossible using the original combiner pieces that come with the original Constructicon set. This is probably the best explanation I can throw out there. :-B

I can understand that. Although, aren't the upgrades (atleast the crazydevy ones) super expensive anyway, meaning you might as well save up for the 3rd party full bots?
