Sonicron...worth $30?

Question for you Sonicron owners...I know he's underwhelming, but is he worth $30? He's on super sale at BBTS and I'm tempted at that price.

Was thinking about this myself but seeing as though they have nearly 1300 of him, I can't help but think he will be clearanced even further.

That crossed my mind as well...

I completely recommend him for $30, flaws and all. He's permanently in bot mode for me and fits well with my Classics collection.

Or you can hold out for a possible reissue with the flaws hopefully fixed, but I haven't heard any news about it nor know an expected release.

That price is cheap. You know it, I know it. I'm still underwhelmed by it and I realize if I have to ask others to convince me, it's probably something I can do without. I'm pretty "meh" about it. I'm not sure I'd jump at $20 or even $10.

I might have to considering that Sonicron at that price. Another neat one I see is the TFcon exclusive Nightbird for $30! Much more reasonable than $150.

My biggest hesitation is I already have ML Soundwave so I doubt this would take his place in my Classics collection.

That Nightbird deal is tempting, too, though.

Would it help if I point out that he doesn't really have knees?

Really? I must examine him again, then.

He seems to have knees. He is also a triple changer with a stealth submarine mode!

At $30 he's kinda tempting. I'd need another rundown on the problems associated witht he figure and what kind of improvements went intot he black one to bite, though.

But I can't say I "need" him as I have Label Soundwave as my Neo-G1 Soundwave. Plus there's Herculese I'm locked into and Giant I'm tempted by. Wouldn't that $30 be better served paying for something I'm really excited for?

But I'm an impulse buyer, so I dunno. Maybe later.

I did bite on Nightbird a while back, when I noticed how discounted she was. She wasn't worth the $200 exclucive price, but I think she's okay at $30.

Wow, I stand (or kneel) corrected. I didn't realise the back of the leg folds down to allow knee bend. I've never seen pics like that of him.

I'm on the fence too...
Can the majority of the joints issues be fixed just with the superglue/nail polish trick?
I understand the only balljoints are on the arms, the rest are hinges...

Ryan did a video review for him on here..For the life of me I cant find the link but I know he did a review andit sort of sold me on NOT getting it. WFC soundwave does just fine for a classics stand in IMO...

So, just to be clear, Sonicron CANNOT store cassettes in alt. mode. In all of the blue versions.

I don't mind tightening screws and I don't mind the overall aesthetic, but ... they really dropped the ball there. I guess there's just no fix for that, eh?

That pic actually sold me... Bought both that and Nightbird. Just couldn't pass up those prices. Sonic Ron might go even lower, but I figured that was a fair price...especially for a 3rd Party figure.

The best part about him is the plank that sticks out of his ass in bot mode. >:oP

Well, Soundwave did always kinda seem like he had a stick up his ass...

i bit when i saw it for 30
always liked that sketch of the alt mode and thought this was a decent price for it
i had held off originally due to Seib's video
since they just announced the cassette mode ratbat for this, its starting to look better
