Buyer Beware: KO TFCC Punch/Counterpunch In the Works

Given it's popularity, quick sellout, and the fact that the base mold has already been knocked off it's surprising this hasn't happened already, but it appears a KO version of
TFCC's exclusive Punch/Counterpunch figure is in development. Well known KO artists CHMS recently posted the image mirrored below to their
weibo account, and the
Transformers Galaxy Hong Kong Fans Group seem to confirm the KO is on the horizon. You might want to be a little more cautious if you're searching for this figure in the aftermarket.

If it's anything like the CHMS Deep Cover "repaint" of the sideswipe mold, it'll fall right to pieces. I don't think that CHMS can handle a complex mold like that. THey barely did all right with the Starscream mold IMO

I use my Club one as Counterpunch on my con shelf but it's good to know that if I ever were to want a Punch too I have an alternative.

Hmm I wonder if they will fix the tiny head issue.

Perhaps I'm looking at this wrong, but I do not have many "hard to get" figures in my collection. This
was one of them. CHMS may be helping other collectors fill in the ranks, but they are not helping me in any way. The worst part is, someone is going to get duped into thinking this is the real thing.

Are they looking to KO the box, too? Otherwise it would be easy enough to avoid getting duped, unless some douche-bag swapped out the figure. Typically CHMS doesn't seem to be in it to try and fool people, though.

I doubt they KO the packaging, I think this image is of an official version they've acquired to base their KO on. They're just letting people know it's in development.

I might be interested if the head is different, ie better, or if there is a much better custom head somewhere to be had. If not, well no buy from me.

I'm surprised a third-party hasn't come out with a replacement head for P/CP. I would be game for that.

Gundam it!!! If that was the case it would suck if they didn't factor in those flaws for this new repaint! It would be perfect since I have a P/CP still boxed untransformed in the hopes I could score a great deal on another and here we are...I hope!

That would be uber niche though eh? How many CP/P's were made to begin with?

Not any more niche than Shadow Scyther and look what he's going for. I'd buy two, one for each of my figures.

But Wildrider + SG Rodimus together must number in the 2000+. The way P/CP sold out it felt like his numbers were much more diminished than that. Anyone?

I'm thinking there's probably that many units of P/CP. Remember that they did two runs. I dunno, wishful thinking on my part. The head sculpt we got is nice. It's just tiny.
