Third-party toy maker
MakeToys has posted some new images of their homage to Dream Wave's The Fallen,
MT-04. The figure appears to transform into two tanks and comes with multiple weapons. Images mirrored below.

They have also posted an image of a replacement head for their recently released
Battle Tanker upgrade for
RtS G2 Optimus Prime. Those who own the upgrade know install the new head can be a tricky endeavor. The instructions advise you to submerge the new head in boiling water for 30 seconds to soften the plastic for an easier installation. Even after doing so the many have snapped the neck post because of the tight fit.The placement seeks to remedy that with a new design and even comes with replacement neck peg if yours was damaged.

Looks pretty friggin awesome to me!

I want it. How is Maketoys going about distributing the replacement heads? Will they be..sold seperately for the already released batch of BT and/or be packaged with an upcoming batch of BT?

Fallen impresses me. Yesssss.
Glad they're offering replacement parts for Tanker. I still think requiring disassembling and reassembling at this level is a bit extreme for their first product..

You know, not to sound offensive. But seriously, THAT many people are breaking the ball joint when replacing the head on their G2 Prime?! Are that many collectors THAT ham fisted? Its not rocket science here people, you unscrew original head, carefully peel it apart and put the new one on. I'm guessing the people who are experiencing these "issues" are just attempting to yank off the original head, and jam the new one on.
Seriously, steady hands and PATIENCE would probably cure the "issue" at hand here. Sheesh.

*BUZZ* Wrong. The replacement head needs to be boiled 30-90 seconds before installation. Even then, it can break the ball joint. It's not that people are inept, it's a design flaw.
Don't guess, read before you start lambasting people.

So the Fallen is a power core combining Duocon? That's pretty cool!

Now Im thinking about leaving on the old Optimus head until I get the newly designed one. I bought a United Prime for this set and I really hate to screw him up. Boiling a head in water sounds like the stupidest thing I ever heard of. Thanks once again to BBTS for the famous "pile of loot" feature which allows me not be the first guy to get my hands on the figure and inadvertantly screw him up.
Unsure about the Fallen. He looks cool but the only Fallen I ever knew was in the Bay-Verse.

Excessive red, yellow, and orange light piping would MAKE-this-TOY!
Black plastic base.
Weathered silver chrome face plate...
Owe Dee, son!
BTW, good call on the Duocon.

Love the robot mode. That is one insanely accurate, spot-on tribute to the WW Fallen from the DW TF comic. I'm not fond of the fact that it breaks into 2 separate tanks but if I do get this it will stay in it's combined mode on a display shelf alongside my collection of 6" Titanium figures anyways.
This is going to screw up a lot of younger TF fans since most only know of "the Fallen" from the recent movies and many will starting complaining about this figure without having read the article or done any research further back into the TF mythology.
Regardless of how anyone reacts or what folks say, this is one sweet looking figure and I can't wait to get my hands on this. This will definitely be near the top of my "Must Have" list.

The Fallen looks pretty boss. As far as the two vehicles go, it'd be interesting to see that concept used in MakeToys's future projects. Maybe an Overlord?

Any upgrade kit that
1. Costs more than 10x I paid for the toy it's upgrading
2. Requires the use of power tools to assemble
Sounds like a lot more trouble than it's worth. Sorry.

I'm incredibly excited about the Fallen figure, and even moreso that it splits and transforms into two tanks! And I don't plan on upgrading my prime's head anyways.

this thing is so bought as soon as i see a pre-order page for this i'm gonna pre-order it ASAP.
This has the potential of being the best fallen toy we've received thus far.
best of all this looks to be leader size. as it towers over RTS Prime in battle tanker combined mode.

That's what they should have done for the head in the first place. Glad they are addressing it though.
Fallen: Welp. Looks like my TF budget for next year just shot up by a bunch. That looks freakin' awesome. Wonder what's up with the weird PCC-ish combination ports though.

This Fallen figure is looks like it can & will be one of the best 3rd party toys ever put out. The people thats complaining about the 2 tank mode, look at the combined tank mode. Either way however this guy gets displayed its gonna look awesome in anybody's collection.

Was it Generations Skullgrin that had those 3mm clip weapons? You know, missile pods and mounted gun? I think HTS still has it in stock.
Gotta load up on the 3mm clip system acc's.
Here's a listing of the C-joint clip figures.Battle Tanker has these clip pegs as well.

The Fallen is still a great looking figure, and splitting into two tanks is pretty cool. I hope there's a combined tank mode as neither tank looks particularly imposing. Still going to get it either way.
Given that Tanker is their first project, I'd be pissed if I had to pay for the replacement head, especially if I was one of the unfortunate ones who've snapped their Prime's neck. Having to take a drill to what is now a highly in-demand figure is asking for trouble. Can't see MakeToy paying for the cost of a replacement should you annihilate your figure. It's a hell of a drawback for such a cool set.

I was referring to the robot mode which over shadows the fact he turns into 2 tanks. That's all, sport.

Who's to say definitively that each tank does not have a bot mode when uncombined? Furthermore, to be sold separately and have combining box art (like crossfire 02)? Conventional thinking is so two scoops of vanilla; I want the Ghirardelli Earthquake - what are you getting?
