TFC Heavy Labor Help!!!

hello,

I just opened My heavy labor and realize that the ratchet point in the middle of the body has no ratchet. IT is extremely loose and is only held together by friction. In robot mode it doesn't stand up. it just bends backwards. any Ideas as to what I can do? I've already emailed Robot Kingdom. but I ordered this a month ago (left it unopened in box). and also emailed TFC them self. No response yet. anyone else have this issue?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

No ratchet straight out of the box? That's the most extreme case I have ever heard. The hip ratchets have a design flaw, they will all fail with enough use. You can contact RK to get a replacement but it will break eventually unless you just don't move the ratchets. TFC have said they are working on redesigned replacement parts that will be available at a later date with either of the last two figures or by contacting TFC directly when they are available. What these replacement parts entail? Nobody knows for sure yet.

I've open my heavy labor to look into the problem and I see that am missing a part that makes the middle ratchet point hold. I search online for a picture of the piece.it was missing from the box. I've emailed Robot Kingdom and TFC toy about this and wondering if they can send me the piece. No response yet. It is the gray piece right below the nead of heavy labor that is missing.

I just looked at mine. I have the same issue. I always thought that is how it was supposed to be. But I guess I was wrong. Mine stands just fine, I had them combined with Dr Crank and did not seem to be a problem. But now I am concerned. Out of four figures I have had QC issues now. I had to send my Structor back to BBTS because it did not transform correctly. Now I am not sure what to do. I guess contact TCF toys about a replacement piece, because I can't contact BBTS now.....

I just combined mine with Dr Crank again. It makes no difference because of the way they match up to one another. The hips cannot bend backwards. Maybe it is by design??

My Long Haul(I'm done with the silly names, it is what it is) doesn't have a ratchet in that joint either. I just assumed as well that it was supposed to be that way. Stands pretty well anyways. Only need to bump him to straighten him up after placing on shelf, after that no problem.

bump him? well i saw a lot of reviews on this guy and it seems like the reviewers have a joint there and its quite stiff it seems. i haven't combine mine with hook yet I hope there so issues. but Mine is deff missing that gray piece. still haven't heard anything back from robot kingdom or TFC yet. I hope they will be able to send us that piece, its very easy to install it seems cause everything looks simple once you open him up.
I'll keep the forums updated as to what they come back with.

Thanks for the replies!

Out of sheer paranoia I grabbed my Long Haul to make sure that I didn't have the same problem and I guess I lucked out. Mine doesnt have the hip issue either from what I can see. TFC has been spot on though about QC issues so far with this set and considering how much the figures are going for I think it speaks volumes for them as a company

I contacted BBTS and they are going to do an exchange for me!! Even though it is past thier 30 day exchange policy.

Out of the 4 Hercules figures, I have had 2 with QC issues right out of the box. That is insanely bad, but I am glad I have worked with BBTS. There are an excellent company and I will always work with them in the future.

I am also impressed with TFC's level of service. Makes me feel good about supporting their efforts with this figure despite the defects theat have surfaced.

Did anyone missing the ab ratchet ever get a response from TFC regarding it? I've been emailing, posting on their FB, etc. & still have not gotten any acknowledgement from them. I have combined my figures & Devastator has serious posture issues due to the joint not functioning properly. I'm wondering if they are just ignoring me or if they are ignoring everyone. Thanks.

I've had the same experience but with a different part (a defective Dr. Crank's bicep swivel). No replies from TFC, an awesome customer care from Robotkingdom.
