It appears third-party accessory maker Dr. Wu have turned their attention to the recently completed TFC Toys Hercules with a roaring replacement face plate. This set is titled DW-P04 Roaring, and prototype images have been posted by the Transformers Galaxy Hong Kong Fans Group. Images mirrored below.

I don't know why Dr. Wu gets so much flak, this is AWESOME.

They rip off the design from G.I.Eddie, a board member of TFW2005.

This might just be my first Dr. Wu purchase. I like it!

Yup. These guys make garbage and apparently rip off the work of others too now. What a joke.

According to the Dr. Wu facebook page: "The design of this product is somewhat inspired by the work of TFW2005 member G.I.EDDIE"

G.I.EDDIE says he doesn't really care if they used his design.

While it's nice, I'd have preferred it if he made the head from the cartoon. Of course he'd probably skip the red transparent plastic found throughout the figure, so maybe it's a good thing he didn't try at it...

The rage face at TFW is pretty obscure and these things take a bit of time to sculpt.

They're very similar, but they're based off the same face TFC made for the same toy. Considering how many times Devy roared ... yeah, I could see two people having the same idea for this and coming to a similar end.

I like it ,i havnt got herc but its showing more emotion than those magnus faces.

dr wu am not sure what type of direction there going in with ther stuff been that random, metroplex eyes? and how many figures have face plates? the best thing so far is the hound and ravage set but thats still nothing to give major credit to.

they need to think a bit bigger imo , make some new heads to start with theres plenty to do a bet they would get plenty more interest in them.

Its cool that the original designer is cool about it...but it doesn't change the fact that they did it without permission and this is the best they can come up with.

This. THe line between actual and perceived intellectual property is getting very blurred. One of these days soon, the line is going to break and then we'll all be up to our headmasters in lawyers. My bet is still on the "Herbie-bot"...Disney is truly and horrifyingly anal about their properties and profits.

I thought he was 'dull surprising'... Pat Lee would be proud.

While Eddie is cool with this, unless you were in China or somewhere that made it difficult to acquire Eddie's, I don't know why you would get this one instead...Eddie's is better and surely going to be cheaper. Only $7 shipped in the US and not much more outside the US.

It doesn't look like a roar. It doesn't have that natural snarly effect of an open roar.

So far the Dr. Wu stuff has been mediocre at best, but this is ridiculous. No honor among 3rd party developers?
