My Hercules 100% thanks to Kapow Toys

I just wanted to give a bit of thanks to Andy at Kapow Toys for making sure my TFC Hercules figure went from 99% to 100% complete.

My Exgraver figure arrived without the purple wrist piece for the combined Hercules mode. An email to Kapow Toys and the said that TFC would be sending the part, they never did. I tried emailing TFC directly but I got no further.

When the last figure in the series arrived I was worried that I would have an incomplete figure.

Andy at Kapow Toys has just sent me the part from his own Hercules, amazing customer service. I hope he is able to have better success at getting the replacement part than I did.

So thanks again. :)

I've had no problem getting problems sorted when they've happened with Kapow. Whenever I've contacted them with any issues they've been dead good and sorted me out above and beyond what would have been acceptable.

They are expensive but generally they are quicker than BBTS on 3rd Party stuff and yes, their customer service is top-notch.

There used to be customer service person who was blunt to the point of rudeness but that person seems to have left. Things are much better now.

I guess I'll have to be the one to bring balance to this subject.

I haven't had the most problem free experience shopping with Kapow. It's been silly things like only sending me a single item when I ordered multiples of it. They sorted it easily enough but it really shouldn't happen.

However, the occasion that really lead me to mistrust Kapow was at the start of Generations. I'd pre-ordered Thrust and Drift seperately. I got an email saying that Drift had been shipped and my Kapow account status confirmed this, but when the package arrived it was Thrust. I emailed them telling them what had happened and asked whether it would cause any confusion in getting my actual Drift. "No" they say.

Months go by and the figure is listed as being 'in' and 'out' of stock multiple times. Still no Drift for me, so I email them again. A couple days later, I finally have my figure. Top dog!

A week later, a second one arrives. I do the responsible thing and let them know what's happened. They ask me to send it back to them. Fair enough. Will they pay for postage? "No" they say. :-x

Very poor service as far as I'm concerned, coupled with high prices mean I tend to use Kapow as a last resort before ebay. But hey, that's just me.

Id rather support a UK business when I can. Plus buying from abroad makes returns a real pain should you need to. Customs costs ( if you get stung ) will push the price up. On top of that I trust Kapow.

I know that not all those on Ebay are abroad.

these ebayers ARE uk located and even the odd 1-2 from china ive seen that sell cheaper than what kapow charges dont screw you over with custom fees as ive purchased from both before

sorry i just find andy totally usless as he doesnt keep any promises he makes. Hell his own website isnt even done by him. Its by some idiot called pete whos got about as much comunication skills as one of my solids

If you wanted devastator complete then buying them all off ebay would have saved you around 35-45 pounds (thats like around $60 for you American folk) instead your just giving kapow extra cash with inflated prices

I did mention that when I've contacted them with problems, they've been good. Since we've devolved into mentioning bad experiences, I'll say that I have had quite a few problems. One package had something missing (which was sent out and arrived the next day, or day after I'd contacted them!) and my most recent order, which had a few GI Joes in it had a couple issues. One of the Joes that they had in stock on the website, they said they'd sold out of. Fine, these things happen, but then I see it still up there for days, whilst another version of the same character was changed to out of stock. A second one I'd ordered I was sent the 25th Anniversary version of the toy instead of the movie packaged repaint. However, due to the initial mix-up of selling me something which they'd been unable to find to put in my package, they did send me a free figure. I didn't contact them about being sent the wrong guy, as honestly, I'd been in two minds about which colours to go for and liked the one I ended up having in-hand anyway. I did not attempt to contact them about this last issue, so they had no way of knowing there was a problem to try and fix it. Like I said, I liked what I'd got when it arrived so didn't really see it as a problem.

My first problem with them was a factory error on Cyclonus, where he'd been built with 2 right hands, the one in the left arm being upside down so it'd fit. I was offered a replacement, or a partial refund. Another time they were really good with me was when I'd preordered a couple of things, and one came in stock but the other got delayed. Time went on and some stuff went on sale. They let me cancel the original order, get the stuff that was in stock at a reduced price and then re-pre-order the item we were all still waiting on. No problems, not even a "cheeky monkey!" comment towards me.

I'm not fond of ebay, and as expensive as Kapow can be, they do keep a good selection of stuff, and stuff is always shipped out in good time, securely packaged, and in good condition. It's also good to know that they are UK based and that I know I can email them, or call if it was something important I suppose (never had to yet) and I will get a quick and legible reply.

Have not got a clue what your on about, our website is run by us and no one called Pete works for us so it might be worthwhile to get your facts right before posting responses on someone else's business in a public forum, as for not keeping promises I have no clue what you are on about, if you would like to expand on things please feel free to contact me, but if your who I think you are you've been banned from our forum for being racist and have previous for telling people we're a front for a far east store, nice to see the story has changed a little but not much.

Now on to the UK ebayers you speak of......Selling something for £53 shipped is easy if your prepared to loose money on it, have a look at this and see what I mean

http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI ... ackAsBuyer

sixth and seventh transactions down, how does that work ? buying something for £62.50 and selling it for a tenner less plus any customs on top which you are required by law to declare if your a functioning business?. If you think our prices are high I am sorry, we work with 15-20 % profit margins and do things properly, declaring our tax, paying our fee's up front and generally trying to do things the right way. We could sell things for a loss until the cows come home or until the business went under but then I would be asking myself why a business was doing that, especially one based solely on ebay and working nearly exclusively in pre orders.

If you have had problems all I can say is let us know, I can't fathom all this forum bitching as it solves nothing, we have never and will never knowingly see someone wrong, with regard to the problems drop me an email and I will do my best to work them out for you. I'm not aware of any problems with missed orders or deliveries this year but if I don't know about them I can't fix them. I don't have any problems with people posting genuine problems or bad experiences as its their right and they won't be best pleased if they have had a bad experience but swindle your just making stuff up which is seemingly doing nothing but trying to damage us which is not fair.

Sodan, genuinely sorry for the situation with your drift, contact me at contact@kapowtoys.co.uk and I will sort out a 10% discount off any outstanding or previous sales for you.

Cheers for the positive and constructive comments, they do help us to improve or rectify issues we may not be aware of.

Andy
