The name of the figure is simply Giant, Yellow in this case is simply a descriptor to differentiate from the planned Green version that's planned for later.

A G1 green repaint is planned, as a gift set no less.

Am I the only one bothered by the fact that this set is considered limited, but we've really not seen just how functional and whatnot it is?

If you're nervous, you can wait for the higher-number release of the green Constructicons and let suckers like me check out the first yellow release.
However with Battle Tanker under their belt, which is of magnificent quality, I don't have much to fear

Where do these guys fit in as far as scale? I do hope they will be no larger than my deluxe figures.
Also what do you mean a gift set jelze? Do you mean to say that they are going to sell the green versions all six in the same box instead of two sets a month apart?
I hope that will not be the case as I will have a hell of a time getting the wife to let me spend 300 plus on toys.
I will spend it anyway though. I have wanted those figures for a long time now. Can someone post some pics of their new figures for cryin out loud? Open those bad boys up and pose em for us.

They are made by a third party so I doubt their worth will apprieciate and you already know your going to bust em out to make devestator anyway so come on!! Lets see em!!

See, to be blunt, Battle Tanker left me sour.
It looks good, but it has significant engineering flaws that seem to get over looked. The primary one is the rotating joint that houses both ball joints of the tanker shells. Not only is the joint awkward, but it's kind of fragile and poorly placed.
For all the things they worked into the toy, a better joint to move the scope over OP's head would have been good.
Lastly, the plastic leaves a bit to be desired. It's soft and you can tell this in the places where two parts should joint together but their own internal tension allows the pieces to pop open again. There's enough play in the plastic that stuff like that can happen.
MakeToys has a decent product out with Battle Tanker, but it should be $75 or less. Their price on it is almost half the burn in a way. At any rate, they did nothing to convince me that they can get a full combiner right.
The forearms on several of the individual Constructicons should be a concern to all of you. That's just what we've seen from promo pics too.

I agree with some of your points Mike but I can't say I'm completely on board. The BT has flaws but you have to remember it's their first outing. And no, that doesnt give them a pass, especially given the price. FansProject's City Commander was better excepted but it was also a lot more convervative.
I agree that the joints that move the Tanker shell is extremely odd but mine doesn't feel weak by any means. I am also more satisfied with the trailer mode if you leave the upgrade parts off. I think it looks better too. Again, something that shouldn't be necessary given the price tag but an easy addendum.
My point is, TFC's first few outings were far from great, even good. But, Hercules was overall, a great outing. I'm going to give MakeToy the same benefit of the doubt, especially since their first project was more promising.
I am completely on board though that the Battle Tanker should have been around $80. It would have been hard to complain about it then.

Sorry for the double post but here's a nice review from TraitorJ who has had the figures:
"Hi folks, I just thought I'd weigh in on this since I've had the Bulldozer and Excavator set for a few weeks now.
The way the arm is set up does look like it's going to allow for more posability in the shoulders than Hercules, granted I do not have Herc or Crane and Dumptruck so I can't actually compare or confirm that just yet. The figures themselves sit almost like a shoulderpad and are jointed seperately so you can position it to allow more "arms-out-to-the-side" poses.
I plan on posting some pictures tomorrow evening, once I take a look at what I'm allowed to do on this site, and I'd be happy to answer anybody's questions about the figures.
A couple right off the bat, that I'd seen on other posts about these figures;
The MTC.co markings on the sides of the figures are NOT stickers, so anyone who didn't like them, you can't just peel them off. They're only coming off with some chemicals and care. They way they've been applied is kind of hard to explain, as they are not paint per say, nor are they decals. All of the "paint" details on them are done this way and they are quite durable. So if you really hate them, you may want to paint over them.
Scale wise, they are a little taller than most of the deluxes I've sized them up to. They measure almsot exactly 6 inches tall, and don't seem as tiny as the Chinese language review we saw made them seem when he compared them to Sunstreaker. While Hercs figures look alot beefier, these don't seem to be way smaller.
And lastly for now, the quality of them is quite fantastic. They actually feel alot sturdier than some of the official Hasbro stuff. Compared to Fansproject's stuff that I have, they are right on par. They don't feel brittle or cheap, they are put together really well. I've been playing around witht hem quite heavily since Feb 3rd and nothing seems to have gone floppy or loose. The ratchets are all clicking beautifully and the ball joints are nice and stiff, but not too stiff."
I have the yellow sets on preorder at BBTS. I'm excited to have them in hand next to Herc.

So will the green bots be offered exactly as the yellows are at two to a pack x 3 packs or are we to buy em in the gift set all at the same time?
Also can someone please tell me where they will be in terms of scale? Im praying that theyll be in scale with my other classics at around five-six inches tall.....

I don't think this has been confirmed either way yet. They are deluxe size, though.

Probably the best scale pic I've seen for these guys.
Seriously, every promo pic should contain a measurement against a Classics Prime, Megatron or well-known figure.
