What's the best way to contact 3rd Parties? Will they do something for Robotech?

Hello,

I don't know anything about 3rd Party stuff, nor do I own any of it, so I was hoping this thread might help. Aside from Transformers of course, I have many other interests in my toy collecting hobby. One that is similar is Robotech, and if anyone reading this is familiar, there is a lot of transforming mecha in that series. Unfortunately, the toy companies involved with Robotech have completely passed over the entire second act of the three-act story. So, could a 3rd Party take up the challenge? Is it even possible? Here's the most wanted items from the Robotech.com forums:

Veritech Hover Tank

AJACS Helicopter

Let's hear it!

From what little I know about other fandoms, there is either a stigma against 3rd party companies or, what seems to be more common, their lines are far more complete to their desires as they are aimed at collectors rather than children.

Transformers is pretty unique as there are hundreds of characters throughout the last 30 years, most other series, especially japanese series, seem more contained.

So in short, there just doesn't seem to be the demand in other fandoms for 3rd parties. At least that's my take

I would agree with that on most properties, but since Robotech has been around since 1985 and there are a LOT of threads in their forums about the subject of "why haven't they made this?", perhaps most fans there aren't aware of the increased popularity and quality of 3rd party transforming toys. I believe they simply aren't aware, so perhaps a list of 3rd Party companies and their contact information could be posted here?

Whattaya think?

Honestly I think it has to do more with the copyright holders than the 3rd parties. I honestly think that if the demand was there, the figures would have been made.

I don't think so. Sometimes, even in the 21st century, demand for an item can go unnoticed. I'm thinking that the 3rd Party folks haven't given the possibility of branching out to other properties much thought. If they can create transforming toys, it may be in their best interest to look into it. I know it ain't gonna happen, but I'd like to hear from some of them on this subject.

3rd Party companies do this because they're Transformers fans and have a passion for it.

So if Robotech fans want 3rd Parties, they would have to start their own.

Yeah, I think noticed that too when some brought up "non-official" Gundam model kits on someone's youtube channel.

But I'd like the to answer to that as well, if only just to get an update on project that one might interested in as far Transformers are concerned (I keep seeing that Maketoys are working on new items but no updates on the I'm interested that they showed a prototype for last year.)
