Buyers Beware of iGear Toys!

Hey guys and girls,
I'm just writing to warn you guys about iGear. If you've not heard, I bought a toy from their site, and when it was delivered,it was missing a wheel. I have been trying to get a hold of someone in their company for 2 months through various ways, with no answer. After seeing them post on facebook, I decided to ask for a wheel while they were still online, with an unexpected boost of support from others. Instead of messaging me, they decided to just outright delete me and at least one of my other supporters. Just be careful when ordering from their site. They have ZERO customer service and it's just not worth saving a couple of bucks. I'm not bad mouthing them, I had even stated in my posts that they make some great toys, but the lack of communication and outright disrespect to their PAYING customers is completely unacceptable.
Thanks,

Autobotcliffjumper

I'm very sorry that this happened to you and it only reinforces why I only deal with iGear through resellers such as BBTS.

Hm. Maybe next time I'll also deal with resellers ...
I'm pretty leery about bad customer service from non-US companies. There's generally not much you can do about it.

I paid for a couple preorders last fall that were apparently shipped but never arrived. I've likewise been trying to get ahold of someone to absolutely no effect.
I've just now listed my complaints on that same Facebook post; let's see if I get deleted as well.

Guys,
I've ordered several products directly from iGear and have had no problems (except various delays). I guess I should be thankful I've haven't had an issue to date. I have not had to make any follow-up for my orders, so I don't have any idea how their customer service is. But after seeing several of their e-mails, they do seem to have an issue with English. Perhaps if they could enlist an English proficient person, their customer service would be better off.
AC, as a paying customer, I'm in agreement with you. You at least deserve some type of response for a damaged/faulty item.

Wow. That's some real shady dealings. I was going to order the next two Mini-Warriors direct from them as I did with the previous ones. Not anymore. I'm sorry for the trouble you've experienced AutobotCliffjumper, but thank you for letting the rest of us know.

Agreed and thank you for the sympathy. I figured the only thing I could do is raise awareness to others. I saw people try to get their attention, but didn't realize that may have been silenced via deletion as well.

Yup, I agree 100%

Please keep me posted and if you could just let everyone know that I had been deleted, I would truly appreciate it.

Thanks! I also had no issues with my first order of Kup heads, which made me feel pretty confident until this. I will no longer buy products from them though.

I'm sorry to hear about the problem with your PP03T. I hope that you post on the sam ethread to let them know that they can't get away with ignoring their customers.

You are welcome, I'm just glad that I did not preorder anything like their Not-Ironhide/Ratchet because I would still be waiting on them. Can you imagine having them missing pieces after waiting for so long?

Maybe they finally got sick of sending out parts.
I remember the praise they received during the first few runs of KO MP Prime, constantly sending out legs, arms, wheels, heads, hands and sometimes entire figures to replace broken ones.
Then it got ridicules with people expecting to receive replacements for stuff they broke 6 months after purchase.
I guess it was the later ones that made iGear not care about replacement parts. So you can thank them.

I've had two unpleasant experiences with iGear in the past as well. Totally ignored my emails. Have since decided to get their stuff (if ever again) through other shops. Agree that their customer service sucks big time.

Sorry to hear about your troubles AC, I've never had a problem with their Customer Service myself but i haven't had to deal with them recently. I ordered a Clear PP01C from them that had 2 left hands, took pics, sent them in, received a replacement a few weeks later. If they have a product you like, my suggestion is to do what Mkall does and order through Site sponsors like BBTS, no money upfront. Or, you could wait until iGear actually releases their product on their own store. They only accept Paypal payments and with Paypal, you can file a claim within 60 days to get fully reimbursed.

That really sucks, AC. I've never dealt with them beyond BBTS, so I think I'll be sticking with that method.

True, I think that it's better safe than sorry and better to spend the extra few bucks to make sure you get good customer service. Too many people have been burned by iGear for us not to make some noise.

Thirded. Let a more reputable distributor order from them in bulk. It's a shame, because their products that are not just pretentiously-named, glorified knockoffs are pretty nice.

That sucks you have had so much trouble. I myself had to contact them over an order of Kup heads and their Arcee. I ordered from them and they never turned up. They eventually said they don't think they can ship to Korea (where the order was going to). This has always baffled me. Put something in a box, take it to the post office, put the address on it and pay the postage and it should appear. Anyways, after they admitted that, they graciously refunded my entire order. Eventually Arcee appeared in a pretty damaged box but luckily the toy was in perfect condition but no Kup heads ever did appear.
All in all, I came out on top with that order but I still wouldn't deal with them directly again. RobotKingdom are much more trustworthy for me so I will get iGear stuff through them.

Well Kup heads arrived this morning, very pleased with igear dispite what I read above, they only cost £7 shipped to the UK! I've seen one head go for £20 on Ebay! And they arrived within 7 days of being shipped, great communications too. Either I got lucky or they turned over a new leaf.

I've always had great luck dealing directly with iGear, but then, I have never had to have a problem fixed, just normal buying.
