I know how much you guys love teasers. Anyway from the same people who did the recent Universe 2.0 Hound and Ravage set.

Interesting, but I won't get exited untill I see at least a prototype and information regarding the quality of their stuff, like the Hound set.

Quite the leap, from a bunch of tiny add-ons to a full-fledged, gigantic figure. I shudder to think of the price.

But the teaser is beyond annoying. It's just a silhouette of art they, obviously, already have. Lame. Just show us what your damn plans are.

That huge thing attached to his head just ruins it for me...

I think that's the rocket mode.

Both alt mode silhouettes look like sex devices. Otherwise, this might be too ambitious a project for a company that has only made small add-on pieces.

But why does he need a rocket mode hat?

(see wink emoticon...)

As am I, if the quality is good

Ever since he failed to obliterate Devastator in the All Hail Megatron series, Omega Supreme started experementing with adding additional weaponry to his body. Given his limited creativity however, the end results were far from fashionable.

see, I missed the emoticon, and honestly, first time I saw the thing I really did think he had some kind of big gun thing over his head (thought it was maybe attached to his shoulders or something. but now I want it to be a hat)

Since banning things seems to be the current trend, why not ban teasers ??? As much as I want to know more about this figure, it's about time the fan sites sent a clear message to all companies that we are not babies and it's insulting to customers.

On topic: unless this is a totally new figure, Im not interested. I dont care about crazy devy style upgrades. G1 figures are meant to be preserved.

I enjoy these vague teasers as much as the next man, and yes, as someone said upthread, this wouldn't be newsworthy really if there was still news about 3rd party stuff. However, I do like to have least get a little idea on what is being worked on, especially when it's something that we've not seen a lot of. Okay, right now we don't know much about this particular toy (or the recent new Megatron) but having the info that someone is working on these does allow people to reconsider maybe buying an expensive reissue or vintage figure to have a particular character in their collection. If we'd not known about Giant when Hercules was starting to come out, some people would have probably started buying the first new Devy that got released. Having the info that there was another one coming let people hold off for reviews, as well as price and look comparisons.

oh, also on topic: I think this will be a brand new toy. I don't think that silhouette is anything more than a few sketches of the end product, but still, it does seem to be a bit different from the original Omega Supreme. I hope they knock one out in Guardian Robot colours as well as maybe going totally loco and giving us an Omega Spreeeeeeeem variant.

My personal feelings on the matter: I'm fine with one initial tease to get word out that something is on the way and those interested can start doing what they need to get their finances in order for when it's released/put up for pre-order...however, I don't think that should be more than a year out. From there, all further updates on the product should be of value, actually showing something or giving you worthwhile info like release date and price. Is that really so much to ask?

sadly, it seems so.

:-?

From what i can understand the "hat" is actually Omega supreme transformed into "ship mode" .. and the ship mode actually has all of omega supreme, not just the rocket, so it looks like he's a triple changer and no longer a partformer: From robot to base to ship and back!

Well, the silhouette looks good... but then... silhouettes always look better than the actual product 9 times out of 10 being that my imagination runs wild with what the final product will look like when it's finally released.

In any case, they better get to work and quick if they want my dollar. Currently have the YotS Omega in my PoL and if they can't release their Omega before YotS is in stock they might miss out on a lot of potential buyers that aren't willing to take the chance with a what might or might not be a poorly made $300-$400 paperweight.
