Well, kinda. Planet Iacon got pictures of a Masterpiece Galvatron they assumed was X-Transbots Galvatron. However, the images are from a custom made Galvatron based on the Jizaitoys design.

and here is the custom shown over on tfw2005's Radicon page: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/creative-general-discussion/389405-custom-masterpiece-galvatron.html

On the actual Tyrant front, I asked X-Transbots about it on facebook and they said October 2012. http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=339945959418199&id=190452341034229 Their website also lists him as standing 9.2 inches which is roughly the same as Masterpiece Rodimus and Optimus. Yay. The Jizaitoys design truly was a masterpiece of engineering. I can't wait to see pics of Tyrant but I will not be dropping any cash till I see it. I'm really happy that Robotkingdom will be carrying it.

Glad that isn't what's coming. Disappointed they're shooting for MP scale. Do not want. Deluxe or voyager Classics? Yeah, that I'd jump on.

I remember seeing the Gif of transformation on Jizaitoys a while back. Amazing to see it made. Although it is Masterpiece size the details so far not on Masterpiece level. I hope they are able to fix that.

Somebody please KO this and make it voyager sized. We dont need any more $150 oversized stand alone figures. Give us more classics.

After their success with Hegemon, I would be behind the Toyworld team using the design for a voyager Galvatron, provided they didn't just steal the Jizaitoys design like X-Transbots did. Though my custom Galvatron out of WfC Megatron is the perfect size to be alongside classics Cyclonus and Scourge. He is shorter than Cyclonus but taller than Scourge, just like he should be.

The flash animation is here: http://jizaitoys.seesaa.net/article/160342055.html, click the image to transform him. You need to click it twice to see the whole thing. It is truly one of the best designed Transformers or "Non" Transformers ever. Every part of him Transforms in some way. This is what TakaraTomy should be aiming for a potential Masterpiece but it looks like X-Transbots is gonna beat them to the punch.

People have been mixing this up with X'Transbot's prototype since it started.

I hope all this time since we've seen their initial start has been spent on improving what we saw. Because, as a Galvatron fan, I gotta say ... I wasn't impressed. Deluxe engeneering on an MP sized figure? No thanks.

I know people have confused this with X-Transbots product, that's why I made this thread. The pictures had the X-Transbots logo on it so I made this to help people know it isn't the product they are waiting for. I too hope that the product has undergone some changes but I would hardly call this a deluxe toy transformation. Almost every part of it transforms. The only kibble is the cannon, everything gets incorporated nicely.

There isn't anything that complex about Masterpiece figures when you think about. Soundwave will probably be the least complex of the range to date, And there wasn't much to Grimlock or Starscream. In fact, the only one that had a very involved transformation was Megatron.

As much as I want a new Galvatron to replace my Generations version... I just can't seem to get behind this one being made voyager to fulfill that need.

It's not that it looks -bad- or anything, but.. Idk... just something doesn't sit right with me.

My Galvatron is Superlink Galvatron G. Until something better comes along, which doesn't look like it yet, he will continure to be my Galvatron.

It's not the complexity of the transformation, it's the overall look of the figure. Specifically, the large ball joints (admittingly, used in Grimlock) and the large gaps around where they connect. Which this kind of joint is forgivable at deluxe size, it's just magnified at MP size.

And those gaps in alt mode, again forgivable in deluxe or voyager size, are just about inexcusable at MP size where you have a lot more room to work with.

Ahhh, ok, I see what you meant. That is a prototype from 9 months ago, hopefully it will look much better than that. I do agree, I wouldn't buy a masterpiece toy that looked like that but they have had months to work with this design.

I don't know about a KO, but I definitely hear you on voyager size.

I don't really understand the MP fascination. I certainly don't have space for a bunch of figures almost a foot high. I def. I don't have the money either, and I'm not waiting 20 years to get some kind of full g1 list of characters.

There are a lot of classics deluxe figures that hasbro put out that should have been voyagers, and Galvatron is top of the list.

Its like another poster said, its not like the transformation are any more complex.

For those of us, like myself, that can afford to buy them and has shelf space for them, a Masterpiece Galvatron is highly desirable to go along side my Masterpiece Rodimus Prime. I would prefer a TakaraTomy version that transformed similar to this design but I will take what I can get. Isn't that why this forum exists, to talk about people making Transformers people want that HasTak may not have any plans on producing.

Well, to me Masterpiece is more than just size.

The prototype as they showed isn't a Masterpiece or even Leader class figure. It's on oversize deluxe.

Right now I have Energon Galvatron standing beside MP Roddy and he actually is just about the right height, Just a hair too short. Yeah, he's not G1 enough, but everything is nice and sharp and it looks nice enough. This one ...

Well, it needs quite a bit of work. I won't say unsalvageable, but it needs work.

I agree with you and I am hoping the fact we haven't seen anything from them in quite a while is because they have reworked the mold.

I can't even find a preorder for that on RK anymore. Not even a sold out one.

All that mold needs is a head and paint job. Everything about WfC Megatron screams Galvatron. This is my custom:

Since that pic, I have removed the smaller cannon. There are many more out there too.
