The third-party news continues to roll out of TFcon 2012. A new company going by MECH iDEAS has revealed their plans to release updated versions of G1 Jumpstarters Topspin and Twintwist. Images courtesy of Jarodimus:

I am greatly intrigued by this.

I'm interested as Twintwist was my first ever Transformers figure, but these look a little bland. Unless they include the pullback feature then I'd rather they were a bit more adventurous witht the designs.

Those look pretty nice, but I have a custom Twintwist & Topspin that I'm very happy with.

Oh Lordy more members of the G1 cast I wont be able to turn down. Unlees the quality sucks. These guys ever made anything before?

More additions for everyone's wrecker squads... I know I want them, well if their quality is decent and their price is not insane.

Love the head sculpt of Apex..... as others have said, just hope the quality is there.

I was contamplating getting FOC Jumpstarters, but these look good. Hope that they actually materialise.

More Wreckers is okay with me. Especially these guys. They haven't had any love since the original toys.

IGear have their Impactor homage on the cards and FansProject have their Broadside homage in prototype phase (almost).
Throw in a Warbot and a City Commander and we are well on our way to a 3rd party Wreckers line-up!

Im clearing my display cabinet for a Wreckers display shelf!

Mech Ideas have designs on our Wrecker buddies but their website offers other goodies...

I tweeted them recently with reference to any prototype photos or potential release dates... nothing!

No reply at all. Not even sure they got any further than some concept art?

Disapointing if nothing comes of this because they do look pretty cool and very fitting as the homages they represent.

You know what, I didnt even see that video link!!! I was using my crap work computer which doesnt display video links, let alone Facebook, Twitter or YouTube cips!

Glad to see these two are still in the works. THey look pretty cool thus far.

look pretty nice, but they'll have to be really cheap to compete with other items where I like the look, and characters depicted better. Still, the heads are very cool, as is the hammer weapon.

Releasing both figures at once + having a Takara-like price point = BRAVO! These are preordered!

They look fantastic, but I've been more interested in collecting toys of characters that appeared in the show...

My collecting rules have been broken a few time in the last couple of months and I'm tempted to break them again

I'm probably posting in the wrong place to be talked out of buying them

not at all, if you think they won't fit in your collection, then don't get them. I personally think they look well worth the money, but they're certainly very similar. I can see how some might find them unnecessary.

It's not that they won't fit; in fact they could fit quite nicely. The price is another really good thing about them and lots of people buying this might just show other 3P companies that they should drop their prices a little.

I might end up pre-ordering and waiting to see how my finances work out closer to release.
