Not with the actual blade since they are just about to go into production, but here is an earlier promo shot from the normal version before it was released:

Nah. Truth be told I'm getting a little fed up of all the Dark Energon infused-like stuff.

I guess you could look at this one that way, though the idea isn't meant to reflect Dark Energon at all. Just to fit into the SG universe.

Dark Energon, huh? I didn't even think of that. Just saw Shattered Glass oolours. I actually like it more now that someone's likened the blade to an Energon weapon. Still probably far more likely to buy the original colours over this one though. The die-cast-y-ness of it is what puts me off. Sure it's a cool idea, but so few toys have the strength to hold something like that these days.

As far as I know, the sword is not die-cast. It's a decent chunk of plastic as it is fairly large, but almost any figure should be able to hold it.

Apologies. Ignorance got the better of me and I overlooked your initial description. Shattered Glass does make more sense, but I tend to lump them together with Dark Energon repaints as repaint clichés.

Having paid scalper prices for the original DW-TP05, I can confirm that the handle and the hilt are indeed diecast. The blade I'm not sure sure about. It's cold to the touch like metal, but has minor blemishes that make me think it's been chromed. Whatever it is it's not magnetic, and I'm not about to try shoving it in a plug socket for a conductivity test. :KREMZEEK:
