Detachable feet and fists = less ugly robot/jet kibble
That's how it was with G1 toys and nobody complained.
You can't keep comparing modern toys to G1, the technology has improved a lot since then. It isn't an obsession, at least not for me, just a preference. There have been some really nice combiner teams in the past that have incorporated everything the gestalt needs and have had little to no kibble. Or the kibble has been done in a way that didn't look to bad.

That's nice, but I'd rather not have to do that. Again, my preference.
Rated X wrote:As far as Silverbot being a block with a jet mounted on top, So was Universe Ultra class Silverbolt. Same with ROTF Jetfire in Blackbird mode. The silm jet body just doesnt provide the parts needed to make a decent robot. They did pull it off with G1 Octane, but that had alot to do with how the truck parts flipped around. But the nice jet mode gave the robot mode crappy legs and feet. You cant have youre cake and eat it too. But if I were you Id keep that pre-order. Uranus will be tight, trust me.

I have Universe Ultra class Silverbolt, it's not bad, but not being a combiner was a letdown for me. Never got ROTF Jetfire so can't comment. The main problem I have is that designers keep doing the same thing with this type of toy, I just feel that if more of the jet was used for the robot (kinda like the legs on PRiD Vehicon) then there would be less kibble under the jet mode. I'm not expecting miracles, just a new take on something that has been repeated for around 25 years now.
Not sure G1 Octane is a good example; very few toys from that era had good leg articulation.
Oh, I've decided to keep my per-order. I do want this guy now
