Looks like it was wise of me not to buy Rager yet.

It is a shame
iGear didnt listen to the multitude of fans who cried out for a slightly upscaled version of these guys?
Expensive
Legends Class does not make for a good 3rd Party Transformer homage in my book!
I would buy there range of mini-bots if they where all scaled around the same size, in keeping with Brawn and Cosmos!

Argh why the hell didn't they do it in these colours in the bloody first place?!
And why don't they do it in Pipe's colours already?

Yes to all of that. I'll concede that this new deco is better than the original, but I'm not sure I can justify getting it again now iGear have increased the size of their Mini Warriors.
Swing 'n' a miss, iGear. Please try again.

Maybe getting the e-mail late last night had something to do with my decision, but I ordered one of these guys. While the price is more than the 1st run of Rager, it was still decent for being an exclusive (unlike Black Rager or Shafter).
When they claim this is in G1 colors, what are they basing the statement on? I seem to remember Huffer on the cartoon to have the same colors as the first run that came out last year, and also looks to match the G1 figure that was released (I compared my figure to one of Ryan's galleries).

Oh, now that would be interesting. Just add a little faceplate first.

"Igear Rager in G1 Colors" is not really a good title for this thread. A more suitable title would have been "IGear Rager in G1 toy accurate colors".

With that being said, if it is designed to be cartoon accurate, why color it the same as the G1 toy ? It's kind of like some Hasbro vs. Takara s**t. What we really need is a Pipes version or even better upgrade this mold to it's proper scout size so he isnt standing to the height of Primes knees.

I know they have to gouge a mold for all it's worth (afterall that tends to be what Hasbro does so why shouldn't the Imitators) but the scale issue pises me off now and the fact that my $15 Rager could have looked like this from the get go just means they have had all they are getting from me for this guy - limited edition of no.
Rager needs a Hench level upscale and Pipes needs to happen, then i'll pony up.

I never disagreed that these colors wernt "toy accurate". Im just saying the mold itself is fairly "cartoon accurate" so whats the point of putting toy colors on something meant to look like the cartoon ? I dont see a faceplate on Rager.

Why not do it? Some people like toy colors better. The only downside is that it opens the very real possibility for toy accurate colors on their other releases ... which are surperior to some who may have already bought the toy.
But, yeah, they ought to put this mold to bed. It and Seaspray are embarassments in that they couldn't keep the height of their line consistant. But I wouldn't be content with a mere upsize of Rager. It has a lot of flat surfaces and minor details that, while acceptale on a Legends class figure, aren't accesptable on a high end scout.

I don't see the need for this repaint. The only thing I see here that I wish the first version had gotten was blue eyes/optics. I'm content and I pass.

I got him in today- I see all the complaints about size/scaling, colors... and don't care
I like him. I like his color, like his size, and like the way he is built. I like his tiny six shooters in his tiny powerful fists. glad they released this anniversary edition so I could get a second chance at this figure that I waited too long on first time around

Congrats!
Glad you like him.
If I didn't already have the first release, I'd have gotten this as I prefer this color scheme. Not enough to re-buy the figure, though.
