Nice review. I own the yellow version, which I really do enjoy.

The yellow version does look quite nice as well, and I do say that as someone who vastly prefers a G1 colour scheme on his toys. Although I do think that Mobile Crane (a.k.a. Hook) definitely came out much better with the tweaking made in the green version. Not to sound like I am rubbing anything in or anything, but I must ask: assuming you don't just leave it in gestalt mode 100% of the time, and occasionally might display the individual bot modes, how annoying is his non-detachable crane to deal with? Don't get me wrong, it would not have been a deal breaker for me if it was still like that on the green version. There is so much other win on these guys, I'd have lived with it. But I'm pretty sure I'd have at least grumbled the hell out of it.

Oh, and thank you for checking out my review!

I have the yellow version, and I'll just say that irregardless of what may protrude as a result, between a singular bot transformation that requires parts leprosy and one that does not, I whole-heartedly lean in favor of the latter. To me that was one of the greater appeals of the Giant over Hercules, and seeing the retail unit has delved into the realm of necessitated parts forming I'm rather disappointed.
