So Curt from TFSource sent out this email this morning:

Curt wrote:Not sure if this is new news, but we have received confirmation that once all the TW-T0 series figures are released (5 or 6 of them) the final figure will contain the add-on parts to have all the figures combine into one combiner/gestault! SInce the final figures are a ways a way, we'll just have to wait and see what the final form will look like!

The first figure Grind Rod can be ordered and is in stock now at TFSource here:
http://tfsource.com/products/view/product_id/5426/

Thanks and Best Regards,
Curt

I probably won't display them in gestalt mode, even though the Autobots are severely outnumbered in the combiner department on my shelves. Still it's an interesting option to have.

My thoughts exactly. I'm curious to see what they come up with though.

Okay, that's pretty... cool, actually. Weird, but cool.

Well I was probably going to get them all anyway so...I guess it's an option for when I get bored.

it explained the price being a little higher than I'd expect. Still not getting them all, although it might be interesting to see once it's completed.

Almost convinced me to pull the trigger on getting all of these, but not quite ;).

I thought about it and I still only want the sportscar guys, and only if they look like actual sports cars, not crappy Honda-style hatchbacks.

Whatever floats your boat I guess. But my official stance, "no". Throttlebots are not combiners. They are meant to be cannon fodder; the weak extras that get killed in battle. With that said, it won't stop me from purchasing Grind Rod (I just won't display him in his additional gestalt mode.)

Who the hell asked for this? I know people are going to say that it's good to at least have the option, that I don't have to have them combined, but just knowing that they can detracts from these in my opinion. I'll be asking 'could these figures have been better if they weren't designed to combine?'

Optimus and Jetfire, the Dinobots, the Sweeps, the Wreckers, and now the Throttlebots. Who decided that everyone needs to friggin combine while dedicated combiners like Abominus, Computron, Defensor and Rail Racer are MIA? :BOOM:

I agree. But after what ive seen in pictures so far of Rollbar, I dont think the combiner features will make the individual bots suffer. Just more parts for the parts box. I just hope the price isnt being affected by these features.

I think people just need to wait and see if the bots that become the arms are going to be compromised before getting mad about this being able to combine. Past 3rd party combiners have taught us that being a combiner doesn't nessasarily mean you ned to have a compromised TF.

Yeah. As long as the robot mode doesn't suffer, then it's a nice bonus. Nothing wrong with it per say.
