well, aside from the same colour palette, and even then the placement is wrong, there's very little to make me think this is a good idea. That said...I'm interested. TFPRID Ratchet is a pretty nice toy, but whenever I get around to getting iGear's Ratchet, he'll be superfluous, so the option to make him look substantially different is good.

Whats the point? In the future a 3P will do a proper Protectobots set (not the TFC half-arsed crap) and this will be pointless!

You do know that before TFC's Hercules, there were other customs.... I assume that you're a Giant fan.

Any time you can take a TF Prime or Animated figure and turn him into classics, It is a good day. I just got my hands on Hotspot, so i wouldnt mind havingthe crew as stand alone figures. It would be nice if they could do a set to convert Prowl into Streetwise as well. Maybe then I might even jump on Universe Blades, even though he is red.

I can't stand giant, that set is ugly in every mode. Have Herc without any of the "upgrades" seeing as I think he looks great as is and have the Aerialbots on pre-order. I was talking about that combiner team they did for another series then wanted to remold as a terrible Protectobots set.

This is an interesting set. I rather like add-ons that transform a TF.
I'd kinda rather have a proper Protectobots set (that isn't $100 per figure), but with GDO Hot Spot coming out and Blades already in my collection, this may be the next best thing.
I collect TFs from Seasons 1 - the movie moainly and in that Defensor himself only ever appeared in B.O.T. I'm kinda okay with getting a non transforming version of that team over guys who combined a lot more.
I think I may set out and try to find a Ratchet.
Edit: Just to further illustrate how pleased I am with this set, the other day i was looking at Universe Ironhide and ratchet and thinking to myself that a new First Aid would likely be a slight remold of that crappy mold just as Hot Spot is yet another version of Inferno. I really like it when I can have a unique mold as a chaarcetr than just another repaint. There's soemthign to be said for variety.

This isn't more of a Classics thing, but rather a MTMTE thing. And I do love me some MTMTE First Aid.

Another toy based on the Universe Ironhide/Ratchet mold would be a travesty!

Maybe that's the trouble I'm having with this, I'm (insanely?

) focused on building my Classics set and know exactly what will suit it when I see it. A non combining character from a combiner team won't.

Pretty much Arc. I really think Bboss is catering to comic Transformers fans - as much as all fans would like a First Aid toy, I really doubt it's on the priority of other characters, and even if they do want it, much like yourself, you'd rather have it as a group that can transform into Defensor.
This is more because of the popularity of MTMTE, and I wouldn't doubt that we'll start seeing stuff like MTMTE Rodimus, Drift, and etc coming out from 3Ps.

You cleared things up nicely there, good to know tf fans are seeing toys they want from the different story lines being made.

I don't know why this couldn't be "classics". GDO Cliffjumper is made from PE Cliffy and that's my own Classics Cliffjumper.
Of course Galvatron G is my Galvatron right now, so maybe my own eclectic mix of styles makes the difference nill to me.

I too use Galvatron G for my Galvatron as he's pretty much the best Galvatron to date.
I'll be able to assemble an entire Protectobot team now!
Hot Spot and Blades would be the official figures
First Aid would be this guy
Groove would be the Galaxy Force Gasket Police repaint
and Streetwise would be the Botcon G2 version.
Now I HAVE to get this.

I think Beezleboss is just capitalizing on an oppurtunity. You have a white and red ambulance figure thats boxy enough to be classics if you add a head and chest. We got Ratchet, so of course first aid is next in line. Maybe other TF Prime figures could be re-purposed as well. Arcee to G1 Chromia ? Skyquake to Jihaxus ? Knockout into G1 Dead End ? Bulkhead into G1 Brawn ? (LOL)

I'd buy the heck out of a Jihaxus, though both Skyquake and Dreadwing are the wrong colours for a proper Jihaxus. Skyquake would be closer, but not even 80% close.

Nope. Somebody has got to have Defensor in the works. I'd like a First Aid, yes. Do I want it to be a Prime figure with stuff on him? Again, nope.
