Look back at the early image of a War Hawk prototype combined with a War Leo prototype:

http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-p ... 2827_n.jpg

Does it look like there might not be much forward-to-backward (or sideways) movement on the hip joints? I've actually been leaning towards UT (I should be getting War Hawk tomorrow so I can see how it feels in hand), but if the combined form can't move its upper legs at all, that'll kill this for me, and I'll probably have to go with MMC.

At the top of page 11 there is a pic of this guy where you can see hip joints pretty clearly. Safe to say he has at least 45 degree forward movement in his hips, maybe more.

Ah, yes, I see what you're saying. I'm still finding myself torn anyway, though. Even if the hips do have a more decent range of motion, I must admit I'm not really liking the look of them. They seem... awkward.

I have War Hawk in hand now and it is a surprisingly likable figure in person. I like its look and it feels decently durable, though the having to attach and remove the wings is a bit scary. I do feel UT as a company has potential if they survive this initial Predaking run. All the same, as I said above, I'm still not feeling 100% ready to commit to UT. (I don't feel like buying two 3rd party Predakings.) I guess I'll have to monitor future developments.

Im on board with the Feral Rex set myself, just looks like a better set for a comparable price.

Yeah, I'm finding myself starting to lean towards MMC at this point.

I'm getting this. I have and love Giant and Crossfire Bruticus & Superion and that's the scale I'm sticking with. I just wish it wasn't coming out at the same time as FP Menasor. That comes first so this'll have to wait.

I watched it. Valid points, issues, and concerns.

Still getting it. It's the Predaking I want for my Classics collection.

Divebomb Arm mode looks kind of skinny, but this looks pretty good overall. I really hope quality is good for the rest of these guys for everyone getting this. I myself am getting the MMC version. Can't wait for everything to be out and the comparison discussions to begin!

Looks like they fixed the shoulder cannons.

That goes a long way to fixing the combined mode for this guy, but overall I still think MMC has the better design.

Predaking, IMO, should TOWER over other bots, including other combiners. The bots themselves also seem to have a lot less detail than the MMC offerings.

If this size class works for you, it appears you will be getting a pretty good looking Predaking. And thus far, I do like the bot and alt modes for these.

I wish these guys well.
I, for one, would rather see another Herc/Giant contest rather than MMC just blowing them out of the water.

That orange looks better than MMC's digibashes, but it still doesn't come close to Feral Rex.

That honestly looks pretty cool. Better than War Hawk, definitely. I'd buy it if I weren't committed to Feral Rex. Maybe if the price drops and I have money to burn, I'll get these guys.

hmmm did I make the wrong call by backing MMC?

Not sure but these pictures are troubling me. That arm looks great.

Really good looking Rampage, I've gotta say. However, I'm almost certain MMC's Rampage will outshine this figure. Still not bad though, if I couldn't afford MMC's Predacons this set would be a great runner-up.

Very nice small bot and beast modes, but the arm mode is lacking.

as before, I think these are nice looking, but maybe still a tad over-priced given the size (and untested nature of the company producing them) and given the competition, I worry for their performance.

Without MMC's I reckon they'd be doing great business from people wanting a Classics Predaking. Honestly, these designs are more G1, but with enough updated articulation that people would normally be all over them. I'd like to see more from the company, despite me (mostly) passing on them. Still considering their Tantrum for a Stampede custom.

"Dear customer,
Here we have received a sample of Unique Toys UT-W02 War Rhino (Ironhead).
After inspecting the sample, the quality is much improved than War hawk. It come with better articulation and better paint job.
The sword will be painted in gold colour.
Unique Toys is still modifying the mold to perfection.
Final product prototype photos will be updated soon.

The coloured version makes it look really cheap and nasty. The LEDs in the feet/cannons is a nice touch, maybe not in green tho. Purple would suit it much better.

the head sculpt looks horrible...

the foot/backpack weapon is the best looking thing about it.
