If only one product was designed and released in 2013...

If only one product was released this year, what would you want it to be and who would you want to make it?

Is there a serious hole in you collection that needs filling? Is there an all around great figure thats missing just one little thing?

To get the ball rolling, with all the love The Wreckers have been getting, I'd like to see a full Roadbuster figure, standing somewhere between FP Springer and Voyager class. Armed to the teeth and bulky. Cybertronian (non-earth but still terrestrial) alt mode without being WfC/FoC (Neon detailing). I'm tired of the Hasbro repaints that are either really small for the character or are repaints of figures that are so clearly a different character (TFA Magnus, TF:P;BH Bulkhead). For creator, probably Fansproject. I think they can get creative transformations for their designs and really capture the look of a cybertronian vehicle.

In light of the recent reveals in New York, I'm curious if people are still relying on third parties for the usual Blitzwing/Trailbreaker etc.

I will get the G3 Blitzwing, but if a good 3P Blitzwing comes out i'll buy it too. I have no fixed group display so I keep lots of representations of the same characters on display. As for the one hole in my collection that needs to be filled, the thing that I would call a must have item to be made. A Trypticon that is done is a nice Classics-esque/Generations style that is comparable to the Metroplex that was just revealed. It NEEDS to happen. A computer mouse is not an acceptable update to one of the best city-formers ever created in my opinion. :CON:

Easy part first: I'm thrilled about the newly shown Blitzwing (now that they've shown Classics head and Animated head) but not entirely sold on Trailcutter. I like HeadRobot's design of Big Road and would most likely support a release if it still comes out.

Ok, back to the main question. There's already so much coming out this year that will fill the gaps. FP's Stunticons, MMC's Predacons, Hasbro releases. Galvatron of course needs a nice voyager-sized figure. But I feel like I'm in over my head with releases for the next year.

In a hypothetical wold where I'm NOT already getting Superion, Predaking, Manasor, a pile of Headmasters and a few assorted other trinkets?

City bots!

A proper classics style Omega Supreme, with a rocket, base and tank.
Followed up by Trypticon.

I like the recent Metroplex reveal from that new company.
I forget their name though, Has Brothers or something like that ;)

Yea, kinda. I wasn't impressed with either.

I'll get them to fill the gaps, but I'm not overly impressed with those two.

However I REALLY like Springer and think he may be an improvement over FPs version.
I'll wait till I have it in hand to pass final judgement.
And the aforementioned Metroplex ROCKS!!!

Notice to 3Ps, we'll be clambering for a Scamper & Sixgun. I don't recall them from the released pics.

I would LOVE Headrobots to release Big Road, he is much more 1984 G1 looking, which is what I like.
Big Road also has some size. Hasbro Trailcutter looks like it is going to be small.

Also, I recall Igear named a character in one of their bios called "Sheild Generator." Maybe they will release Trailbreaker in the same vein as PP05??? They would totally knock that one out of the park.

Sadly, I don't see 3rd parties going in direct competition with Hasbro over Trailbreaker in the same year though....they will probably hold off...Headrobots should have released Big Road as soon as they had revealed it.

Really the only thing left on my list is really the Dinobots. I thought for sure we would get an announcement of more FOC Dinos at Toy Fair. I was pretty shocked. I mean, we really only have until Spring 2014 before it goes to all Movie stuff right? Hasbro might give us Dinos in a couple years from now, but they surely won't be all voyagers even though they should be.

If that is the case I hope multiple 3rd parties show us the Dino stuff they have been working on and let us have our choice....I like the FOC look, but if 3rd parties are doing it I want G1 looking.

Headrobots said they didn't want to release Big Road and I think they've missed the boat. A lot less people will bother buying a $100 figure of Trailbreaker when there's a $15 one available.

Honestly? Between MMC's Predaking, FP's Bruticus, Hasbro's new reveals, the MP casettes, Artfire (still haven't got him yet), Fun Pub Scourge, SG SW/Blaster, and Menasor I'm not really anxious for another reveal. Not that I'd refuse one out of hand, but there's already a large glut of things I want now both official and otherwise.

But for next year? DINOBOTS! Voyager sized, G1-toy color matched DINOBOTS. I don't care if they combine or not (they won't be combine din my display), but it's about time we got a set of these. It flabbergasts me that we've gotten Headmasters before Dinobots.
